The rose needlepoint & chair looks exactly like a chair my grandmother had. My grandmother Passed way in 1997 at the age of 101. She was a very gentle & caring Godly woman! Can’t wait to see her again when I get to heaven!

Lovely ideas! And I noticed you saved ALL the needlepoint when you trimmed the extra fabric from the bottom of the seat. Excellent! Might be used in the future fir another project. ❣️

Love the newly covered chair pad.....BUT would never have done all the cutting, etc. while on your newly acquired used couch....the floor would've been better and less chance of a slip with the scissors or staplegun and we use the same polish BUT would definitely put a drop cloth under those legs while polishing with your light colored carpet underneath❤

Was watching Canterbury Cottage, she said watch your video. Very nice, Subscribed and hit the 🔔. The chair you redid, I thought, that harp looks familiar. Sure enough I have one setting in my office, but it was painted black, with thin gray, blue, white lines in the cushion material. I saw it in a Barn Antique Craft place. The needlepoint is wonderful. Obviously the person doing it ran out of yarn or something happened and it didn’t get stretched. Hope that cutting it won’t let the needlepoint unravel. It is beautiful!!!

I’ve enjoyed doing crewel, embroidery, cross-stitch, and hand quilting for over 50 years. I even have my grandmother’s embroidery. I’m hoping to frame some one day. Wonderful video, Sarah. One cross stitch project is on a child’s sweatshirt that I did in 1991. It continues to be passed from one grandchild to the next. Two more kiddos to go, and then I’ll definitely find a way to use it in my home.

I love what you did with the chair. I made a pelmet with large foam board. I used blue and white toile fabric. It lasted a few years before I took it down

A hand-embroidered pair of pillow cases with crocheted trim were a wedding gift 50 years ago. Although the fabric is disintegrating, the edge is still OK. Thank you for the idea of using them to trim aprons.

Hi Rachel, love the chair. Will you permit me to give you some advice? If you do a project like this again, you’ll want to sew a seam around the perimeter of the area you use to prevent any thread loss or the canvas fraying. I’ve always loved needlepoint, and I love seeing it used on furniture. Great job!

I would like to ask about that chair in the beginning of the video with the harp motif. I have six of those chairs with the stretch table. I believe it’s Duncan Phyfe? Anyway, I just got the six chairs and the table. I’m going to try and restore them but I am an amateur ha ha but it’s an incredible find all walnut I think from the 1940s. Can I send you pictures you can tell me what it is?
