how do you have a legitimate badass without legs and don't make it a vigilante revenge movie where a badass in a custom wheelchair with guns stops crime? Come on 1970's.

I think I remember seeing footage of this movie either on here KZbin or on TV. Gotta give props to Ted Vollrath for his fighting skills, the fact he served in the Korean war, learned karate from his wheelchair, and earning a black belt is really inspiring. A shame that his character, who mind you was featured on the poster and top billed, gets killed towards the end of this movie. He really should've been the hero. Also the fact this was from the creators of the show "Flipper" really surprises me, how do you go from creating an old school kid's show to making a low budget exploitation movie about a gangster in a wheelchair who isn't even the main character? Talk about perplexing. Great episode.

Honestly, it would be funny if we started a trend of naming films after the most memorable character in the film. Beach Party would be renamed Prof. Atwell. Diamonds are Forever would be renamed Bambi and Thumper. The Force Awakens would be renamed That One Stormtrooper That Yelled "Traitor" and Actually Kicked Ass.

He has to swivel the whole chair just to aim. A pair of handguns would have worked better. In the time it takes to get his shotguns out, you could push him down subway stairs. It's as if the the filmmakers didn't even care about realism.

Nor the fact that the dope was shot into her arm after she was dead, meaning it wouldn't circulate through her body. Or the fact that dead flesh doesn't bruise, so there would be no marks around the injection site. I'm no expert on kickback, but shouldn't Mr. No Legs's chair have slid backwards a bit every time he fired those shotguns?
@graemesmith6721
@graemesmith6721 3 жыл бұрын
Nah, we've been conditioned by Hollywood to think that guns have enormous recoil, but they don't. The Mythbusters tested the myth that being hit by a bullet sends people flying backward. They hung a pig carcass from a metal frame so the hook holding it up was balanced on the very edge of the frame, so a little push would knock it down. Then they unloaded a variety of small arms into it. It never went flying backward. Newton's Third Law states that for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction. Ergo, if being hit by a bullet knocks you back ten feet, the person firing it should also be knocked back ten feet. Since this doesn't happen, that myth is busted.

An early review due to a upcoming wedding? How much more awesome can you get? Once more, all the best wishes to both of you, and remember to forget about us, while on your honeymoon^^ Btt, I think, the main problems(aside of the technical ones) of this movie are both the script and editing. It can't decide wether it wants to be an European drug ring or an American cop movie, so it settles on both and meshes them up horribly. The weird editing choices and often woody acting don't help either. Though, you can't sue them for false advertising; Mr. No Legs truly is amazing.

I'm surprised that with all the tie-ins in the last few years that this wasn't a review of "Return of the Incredible Hulk" the last time we got a Hulk and Thor movie. Guess a week after isn't the best time anyway. Great Review though.

6:35 You really have to binge Cinema Snob to get these in-jokes! I feel like I possess esoteric knowledge just knowing that this was an "Another Son of Sam" reference!

22:28: "Like all car chases of the time, it comes to an end due to...truckers building a wall of ice." This is supposed to be a serious movie and not Hot Fuzz 0, right? Because the image of the car chase ending by the guy crashing into the ice definitely deserves the "you don't have to say anything at all" clip.

So I looked up Joie Chitwood and the Danger Angels because I was bored, and it turns out they're a gaggle of stunt drivers best known for Joie Chitwood's Thrill Show, as featured in Smokey and the Bandit III, with the "Danger Angels" better known as the "Hell Riders". They were the main inspiration for Evel Kinevel to start doing daredevil work. Chitwood himself was a semi-regular in Hollywood and elsewhere as a stunt driver due to the Thrill Show's popularity, to the point that he was the stunt coordinator and one of the main drivers in Live and Let Die! And they apparently thought footage of his team's driving work would be best served with Call Center Girl. What in the actual.
