Roger seems like the most down to earth guy on earth. Plus I like that he is humble in hardcore that isn't always the case. Solid dude

Legend. The first ever HC singer I heard back in the 80's was Roger Miret. And it was "love" at first sight with NYHC, because it sounded so different from the UK scene we were used to here in Europe.

Love this guy, liberty and justice was what pushed me to keep up with a hard weight loss regimen back in the day. The song Strength pushed me hard to stay in shape. Love that it was a straight edge song.

Hardcore might have started out as a form of Punk, however it quickly grew and broke off into something totally different. In style, and philosophy.

Wow Roger is a smart man and I love what he had to say about the questions is hardcore dead! Brilliant answer! I remember my hay day of hardcore and the further I got from that time period I had my moments of being the “jaded old guy” even though I’m only 39. I was a little bitter but never vocal about it. I actually helped revive the scene in my tricounty area. Instead of complaining I booked shows, I started a band, and eventually all the other old guys took the young guys and gals under there wing and taught them the work ethic and next thing you know our scene is thriving and as long as that happens hardcore will never die!! I mean one of the greatest punk bands of all time is from our scene The Virus.
