Will the remaining water under the film get soaked into the marble?

As part of the installation process, the water solution is pushed out from under the film so there is no water under the film to soak in the marble.

What if , we put hot pot directly on the surface? Will the underneath coating of film melt down?

Stoneguard is heat resistant up to 350°F so it will not melt the film....but that’s not to say the film should be used as a substitute for coasters or cutting boards. We still recommend using coasters to help preserve the life of the film. The key word is “resistant”. The same goes for the film’s “scratch resistant” coating. It is not heat “proof” or scratch “proof”.

@@PremierProtectiveFilms You clearly have not researched the temperature of a stove. Natural Gas combusts with air at 3500 degrees F. If the pan leaves the burner on high and put directly on your film its roughly 500 degrees depending on the pan. It will absolutely melt. Its plastic, not glass. A frying pan can get as hot as 600°F (315.55°C) for stainless steel, up to 700°F (371.1°C) for seasoned cast iron, and up to 660°F (348.88°C) for nonstick (though the pan will start to smoke over 400°F (204.44°C). Unseasoned cast iron pans can safely reach 1500°F (815.6°C).

@@bottimind8726 Clearly it is not necessary to "research temperatures of a stove" as this is common place info...but those with so much free time can feel free to do so. And for those with such expendable time on their hands, perhaps do some tests with an actual surface temp meter or device. And if common sense is needed, an advice is to turn off the stove and bring the pan onto your marble counter before doing such readings. As such, there are those who actually use their marble counters as cutting blocks or as a placemat for hot pots and pans. These are the same people who lack the common sense to understand that a product as such is not indestructible (nor is anything for that matter)....and most likely not an actual home owner with marble counters. A product like this is meant to take the brunt of the damage that would otherwise damage expensive marble surfaces. Actual homeowners with marble counters are informed enough to know and understand the benefits of Stoneguard.
