It feels like the developers used 'Momentum Mods" Engine, which was such a good move to make. You can even adjust your pitch and yaw as if this were a source engine game.

As far as weapons go: your revolver should be your main weapon of choice, it instant kills and is a very good pick weapon, using the smg or AR is best in boxed in areas, chokepoints or being overwhelmed where you have to focus more on dodging than shooting, snipers are for being useful whilst suspended mid-air, and shotguns are for clearing stronger enemies or when overwhelmed in open areas, I personally only use my rockets for rocket jumping or when there's a big group I cant be bothered with
