서태지와 아이들 "너에게" 첫 리메이크 주자 성시경 발탁! '서태지와 아이들' 최초 리메이크 곡이 성시경의 목소리로 정식 발매된다. 1993년 발매한 서태지와 아이들의 2집 수록곡인 '너에게'가 tvN '응답하라 1994' OST에 성시경의 목소리로 사상 첫 리메이크된 것.
리메이크에 참여한 성시경은 "원래보다 더 좋은 리메이크는 보통 있을 수가 없다. '잘한다'라기 보다는 워낙 좋아했던 노래여서, 팬으로서 노래해 보고 싶다는 생각으로 작업에 참여하게 되었다. 단지 너무 부드럽게 하면 노래의 분위기가 살지 않을 것 같아 고민이었고, 특별히 나레이션 부분에 공을 들여 저만의 스타일로 표현하고자 노력하였다."며 리메이크에 대한 소감을 밝혔다.
작년 최고의 OST로 평가받는 서인국,정은지의 "All For You"를 편곡한 작곡팀 ELODESIGN이 이번곡도 편곡을 맡았으며 원곡의 팝발라드적인 느낌을 최대한 살려서 성시경만의 감미로운 스타일로 재해석하는데에 중점을 두었다.
특히 원곡에서의 락적인 기타사운드 대신 나일론기타와 리얼브라스의 위주의 편곡이 성시경의 따뜻한 목소리와 절묘한 앙상블을 만들어 내고 있다. 또한 90년대적인 팝느낌의 빈티지한 ep사운드와 신스패드의 조화가 원곡의 감성을 최대한 살려주고 있다.

2020년 6월 10일 수요일 오늘 저혼자 집에서 앉아서 보고있어요 성시경 오빠 너에게 들으면서 전 응팔 응칠도 좋지만 응사 이드라마가 더 기억에 남는거같애요 저 중학교 막 입학할때 쯤인데 그때 94년도에 이드라마처럼했음 그분들 갓 시작한 성인분들이였을듯요 그 설레임 제가 94년도에 14살이면 ost부른 시경이오빠는 고딩 준비하는 그때 16살이였겠죠 누구에게나 설레임은 있었겠지 생각하면서 듣고 봤어요 감미롭게 노래 불러준 성시경오빠도 연기 찰지게 잘해준 배우님들도 너무나 감사해지네요~^^~

I literally just finished this drama for the first time, after years of fangirling over 1997 and adoring 1988, all the while dreading 1994 because of the amount of hate it gets. No matter what anyone says though, this drama touched me in places 1997 and 1988 couldn't. Now, I won't compare the three, because I do believe they all have their own merits and faults, and in their own sense, they're the best of their kind. But I do know this: characters and relationships wise, 1994 did something the might even surpass the other two. And that's saying something. I connected with them, felt their pain and delighted in their happiness. And all the while, through some exagerrated scenarios and unimaginable situations, their simply complicated life felt real. It struck a chord in my otherwise black heart, and I'm forever thankful for that.

So I think people started projecting their own real life desires onto the show 😄 Trash was the right choice for Na Jung. In her shoes, I'd have made the same choice. I just finished watching this (I was introduced to KDramas and KPop only recently) Reply spinoffs are so good I have read comments about people rooting for Chilbong, he indeed was a great guy (even non-existent in real life.lol) But the way I see it, Chilbong was never in the picture. I mean how could he erase those 20 years of memories, love and friendship oppa and jung had.

I think Reply series has it's own forte Reply 1997-fangirling and friendship Reply 1994- friendship and love Reply 1988- family and friendship Try also Prison Playbook and Hospital Playlist. The writer is at it's best when it comes to heartwarming dramas. No over the top emotions and dialogues. Reply Series paved the way to quality cable dramas.

Sigh. I will admit that NJ and Trash deserve each other since they’ve known each other all their lives and they obviously have a deeper connection than Na-Jung and Chilbong but man, I hate at the same time that Chilbong got rejected. That really hurt so bad especially when he cried when they said their final goodbyes in the baseball field. When Chilbong got rejected I wanted to hate this drama but I can’t hate it, haha.

Whomever chose this song for this drama was totally in tune to the emotions, and what sound it took to drive the ultimate expression of feelings, home. I heard it once, then twice. After the third time I wanted to hear it again, and find out who wrote it, who sung it, then how could I find it to buy. I was so excited and happy to know it was the same person who sings another song that I love "You Are My Spring." There should be a musical monument built for singers and songwriters who know how to touch your heart so deeply that their songs bring tears. In this case, tears for the joy of love.

One of the best K-drama i've ever watched! I love this drama from Episode 1 up to its finale. And I love how the story turned out to be exactly what I wanted. Some would say this somehow similar to Reply 1997, but I would say it’s totally different. Reply 1997 was more about growing up, while Reply 1994 was more of knowing yourself and turning into the person you want to be. Love this song!!! ;p
