I was there! September 25th, 1981. I was 16 years old - we cut high school in New Jersey to go!!! 😂 I remember when it was over - besides the 120,000 plus people leaving J.F.K., there was a Phillies Game starting at Veterans Stadium AND a pre-season Flyers game at The Spectrum ALL AT ONCE. I've never seen so many people in my entire life! We caught the train and got back to Jersey and it was packed like sardines in a can!

I was in that crowd somewhere. $15.75 to get in. When you go to a Stones concert, it’s not really like a concert. More like a lifetime event.

I saw them both days in Philly. Two of the most memorable concerts. The size of the crowds alone were crazy! They didn't do the Satisfaction encore the 2nd day because thousands of fans with no tickets evidently busted thru the gates. Thanks for the memory!

This was an incredible rock and roll show! It was a Saturday and even though it was late September, it was actually very hot! I wish I could get a complete set list of this show! I can remember that at the end, everyone thought it was over, but the band cranked out and incredible "Going To A Go-Go" for an encore!

I was 11 years old when the Stones came to JFK. I begged my mother to take me but to no avail. So I had to wait 8 years to see them in 1989. Which was a great concert. I'll never forget that night...

Was there both days. 21 years old. What a blast! Just something unexplainable about how much fun that was. Have seen them every time since, but that one was historical. Of course, the screwdrivers and weed helped too! Just don't find that anymore. Guess we're too old now.

I was there when these shows (and this tour) were happening, and you could literally feel rock-n-roll history in the making. Nothing else since has happened in music (including all subsequent Stones tours) that had the same profound impact. There was something VERY special about this tour.

It was in the air. I can remember the feeling. The world was an exciting place and it was getting better and better. Youth, freedom, optimism, love, friendship. All of these and more were buzzing. I could be me and you could be you and we would have a good time. The Stones led the way with that tour. It was something special.

This is still the biggest event, show, concert I ever was part of. On every level possible, than only the Stones can build, not strictly crowd size. 16 back then. I am now 50 and have been to hundreds of shows since. Definitely the most important show I ever saw. Shows like this can't happen any more. I think the ticket was $12.50, twice the price of seeing Tom Petty or The Allman Bros Band. Expensive at the time. What a fucking party it was.
@nicoleveith2212

it was a great party. I was there also. 17 at the time. We literally emptied a half keg into cleaned out gallon milk cartons and took the R5 Paoli local down to Suburban Station, walked through the tunnels to Broad Street Line and took subway it to Pattison ave. Nowadays parents would drive 17 year olds to a concert. We hauled a half keg of beer in coolers. Kids are pussies today. And we parents are to blame.

Same here. Love The Stones. But I'm sure you know that it was possibly their worst concert ever. Not lying. It sucked...BAD. For those who weren't there- It had drizzled miserably all day. And The Stones hardly played for little over a half hour, and sounded terrible. NO encore. People started ripping up the stands. And even though we high tailed it out of there as it looked like a riot could potentially start...who can blame people for being pissed after such a crappy performance? Also....Some asshole earlier had decided to toss what was probably an old style M-80/quarter stick of dynamite down from the nose bleed section. I just saw about 100 feet away from me a big FLASH followed by BOOM, and some poor innocent guy slumping forward in his seat, as he was unfortunate enough to have had his head right next to that fireball. I'm not sure how badly he was injured {or even if he died}, but I sure as hell hope whoever was the dickhead who tossed that explosive was caught and paid in ways worse than dollars. I mean a person who would do such a thing deserves not only a severe beating, but a delayed beating with lots of anxiety and terror thrown in over not knowing when or how bad that beating is going to be.
