Stoney Mountain - Isle of Man Vlog - February 2020
On this video I go for a walk through Stoney Mountain Plantation in search of some ponds and then a Tholtan.
I talk through my rational for certain images taken with my Canon 5D Mark IV on my Benro Mach 3 Tripod, and why I am visiting the Plantation as much for exploratory reasons as anything.
This is my first attempt at a more typical vlog and I have already learn that I need to invest in some sort of remote Mic for the Canon 200d I used for recording the video.
Stoney Mountain is a substantial plantation of 145 hectares on the southern side of Stoney Mountain. It was established in 1986/1987. It has good soil conditions and a good forest road running through the centre of it. The main species of tree grown here are Sitka Spruce, Japanese Larch and Lodgepole Pine.
