Stooge for Control Line flying

One idea on how to make and use a stooge for control line flying. this uses a 13 lb steel plate that does not need any nails to secure to the ground. This can be used on any surface, put it down and it's ready to be used. I also use this when running up the engines in the pit area before flying.

I use mine about 1/2 the time I fly because there is nobody there to help me launch, I can also use it to run up the engine before flying.

I’ve been trying to find plans for a Fox Stunt Speed plane. The plane you’re flying in this video looks very close. Do you know where I can find plans for a Fox speed plane?

you can fly any model as long as it has a Fox 35 stunt on the nose. Pick any speed model you like that will allow the fox 35 to be mounted, must have at least one wheel. I have a cosmic wind model I use to lower the average speed. The model flies on power, you can modify the venturi, needle valve, hemi-head, back plate just has to be a fox 35 crankcase.

So is that control line with RC throttle? Crazy/weird. Never heard or or seen anything like it.

Yes CL scale and carrier have been flying with 2.4 ghz rc controls for throttle and other features. Elevator is still with the handle.

So is a rudder not needed on control line planes?

No, the position of the line guide and the CG location controls how much line tension you have. I have several models without a rudder and they all fly quite well

I was flying 60 foot lines but regardless of how long the flying lines are the stooge will work. Ii use a setofkite line with its handle to pull for release.
