Luke Wilson showing off his woodworking tricks! Lol. All kidding aside, this was exactly what I was looking for! Your video helped me build a table with compound mitered legs. Came out great for my first time with compound miters. Thank you so much!

Just found this after watching too many videos that weren’t what I needed. Thank you! I’m building an end table for the first time and want the legs to be angled with cross pieces. Now I just need to figure out how to angle the cross pieces.

I just cut these angles for bench legs this morning. I flipped the first leg around on the saw for the 2nd cut and it didn't work. You're right.. Do not flip your piece. My question is, does it matter which direction you move the saw to get 7 degrees?
@bradunger25662 жыл бұрын
haha cool that your trying the project! It won't matter which direction you tilt the saw as long as you slide the leg through to cut the opposite end (dont change the orientation of the leg on the saw)

Where do you measure from after the first cut? The bottom of the angle or top of the angle? And where do you cut in accordance with the mark? Can you cut every leg the same ? Does is matter which leg goes where?
@bradunger25662 жыл бұрын
Hey Nick, every leg is the same and can be used in any location. Because the two end cuts are parallel, you can also measure from any of the edges and it will be the same measurement. Easiest is so clamp a stop block on your miter saw table so that they can't help but be all the same. Just remember not to turn the leg or flip the leg over to do the second cut. Good Luck :)

Hi Brad, Could you please explain how you measured the leg in Detail. I cut mine and it came out 3/8" too short. Is there a formula of some sort for this? Best Regards Antonio
