@@RandyFortier Despite the bucket loads of rain we get every year where I live (squashed between the coast and range after range of mountains), we also have a serious threat from wildfires. All those pine forests do dry out during the summer dry season, when all the interior snow's a distant memory and the rains have stopped until fall.

The industrial area, the cargo train station. Something with the node is forcing all the trafic to go only into the right lane then they are forced to go right in the round about. In the episode you built it they went both ways until the roads where changed. I am 2min into the episode so don't know if this comment is irrelewant by the end yet :)

Hey Biffa, there is a beautiful Quay asset on the Workshop called "Pedestrian Promenade (Quay) It's very pretty and PLUS it doubles as a pedestrian walkway, so cims will flock to it to walk along the board-walk! It doesn't connect "directly" to roads or pathways, but pedestrian paths will "merge" with it (similar to the way they do with road side-walks) to give access. Also a trick I picked up from another C:SL YTuber = Using the 4 lane medium road with with the center median, if you extend a road by 3 squares, it makes almost perfect cul-de-sac's or turn around points. (3 spaces is good because you get a Light Pole, and in suburban areas a Tree)

Awesome work. Two things: I think the cargo train hub should always have a road coming straight out. I think you did it a couple of times in Teaport and I think it look so much better. And I think the park in the Earl Grey area would have a trail going up to a viewing point in the hills.

1:13, when the vehicles are leaving the train cargo depot, they are all being forced into the right lane and have to go into the city. This change was done in a prior episode.

Thanks to Biffa, because on my city on CONSLE edition, I have found ways to fix my traffic. For example, I have used two lane one way roads on my highways for lane maths because I don’t have the two lane highway. Or I use six lane roads at busy junctions on my four lane roads for dedicated turning lanes. I used a lot of paths and cycle paths to reduce traffic. That’s just a few things I’ve done, all because of biffa! Thank you!

I'm loving the gradients of the Verde Beach Kindling™ in Earl Grey Gardens. The darker trees at the back really make the whole place stand out. Don't forget to check all your roundabouts you've added connections to; don't want Hugo There to stop people using them.

When you were putting all the park stuff in Earl Grey Gardens, it occurred to me. Maybe make it the whole top of that mountain? You could put in a hiking path to the top, with some campgrounds and a firewatch station?

I noticed that the bus lanes are being used by every type of car, but in traffic manager you can set a 'rule' for this. If you enable this 'rule' only buses and service vehicles may use the bus lanes. By doing this you are adding realism and you make sure the buses will always arrive on time (same goes for the garbage trucks etc.). In that same section of traffic manager you can let buses ignore lane arrows, so you have more freedom in setting out a (new) busline.

Instead of using a small roundabout by the cargo terminal you should consider using a short 4 lane industrial road. It will make a cul-de-sac style turnaround but it uses less real estate. Turn the bus depot around so it is off the little road you extended. Otherwise the road is unused and is not needed.

About the cargo train terminal... The way you have set it up, the node comes directly in front of the output of the terminal... So all the cars will only go in one lane And because you have stopped them from switching lanes, they all go into the city You could either remove that node in front of the terminal output, i.e. have the single lane road continue till the next node, or just allow them to change their lane, so that they will take the newly available highway connection to enter the highway

Hey Biffa, I love watching you. I just wanted to make a small recommendation, I noticed that your walking path only has one major crossing to your new shopping area. I think it might help if you gave access to the other areas so they don't have to drive to get to the new shopping/park area

For your small industry area, you could put in a district with industrial focus, which doubles the good produced at the cost of a bit more fire hazard and increased traffic... However such small issues should even dent a master like you !

Biffa, there were comments about this on last video but it seems you didn't see them. Because you turned off lane switching on the road coming from the cargo station onto the roundabout, all the cargo train station traffic is forced to turn tight on the roundabout, which is why they're all going that way instead of taking the left turn and go to the much closer by highway junction. (Yes traffic can pick a lane all the way at the start, but only traffic coming from further down the road, not the traffic coming from the cargo station. You need to move the node over a little or allow lane switching in one of the nodes)

tip for fitting everything in at the roundabout in chestnut hills. lower the motorway so the roundabout is at ground level then you can have extra clearance for the rails

12:31 Your bus line could have a better connection to the ferry stop. If you add a path connection to you tram terminus at 12:41 the bus could already end in the adjacent cul-de-sac (together with the purple line) and would still be a well integrated part of your transport system.

Please add ferry stops up and down the coast, not just the depo. It’s silly to have the ships sailing past the entire city to go between two stops at the end. Then workers can get to your new industrial area even easier. Since it’s such a coastal city, you might want to use the “prefer ferries” policy. Anyway, great video as always.

I just noticed that since you put in the Hugo theres after your cargo hub last episode every truck is going towards the city, rather than towards the highway like they did before. If you change the roundabout highway crossing next to the new cargo rail hub (Highway in a bridge above the roundabout) you don't need this weird steep road down to the city (with no headspace to the railway bridge)

Been having so much fun getting into your content lately! I've learned how to use lots of mods so much better now, and it's much quicker for me to go through and play! I just made a small campus area with lots of parking using Dregn Ryder's Modular Parking. So much less fuss and hassle than the parking lot roads. Love how NT is turing out so far!
