One little threat to play them in court and let everyone hear him was enough to make him stop harassing me, and quietly let me go. Trust me, they don't want anyone hearing how they truly are.

I had to start recording our conversations because my head was always spinning about the truth of the conversation. He always convinced me that we talked about something in a completely different manner. Or that the outcome was different. Or that we didn’t even have that conversation at all. He is not threatened by me. He keeps telling me that his employer is going to come after me for defamation of character, harassment, etc since the truth is coming out. He’s a radio personality, specifically sports, does a lot for the Green Bay Packers. People have told me that the NFL does not support men like this and I should turn him in. If he loses his job, I fear he will want more from me financially since he buried himself in debt. If he sees this comment, he will give it to his attorney and she will threaten harassment. He has convinced the world that he loves me so much that no one can believe this is happening behind closed doors. It is so defeating.

same situation as you. I did all the wrong things over and over and finally said that I'm done. I told her it was all in her hands if she wanted to make it work and she turned it around on me and said it was all my fault. She told me "well, I guess I am done then because I am not going to reflect on what you are saying." Nuts! I explained that I was no longer going to do it anymore and that she was the one that was being unreasonable. I know now that I shouldn't have done it that way, but I had enough and didn't really completely understand. I haven't heard a word from her in over 1 year. Thank goodness! I am so over it. Family is so important, but you can't always have it when it comes at a high cost to your soul. Take care.

They are both very different people. I wouldn't recommend using any 'techniques' as a weapon. 1. Realise that they are internally worthless. Any time you try to injure their broken ego it's going to make them mad and worse. 2. *More importantly* Build yourself up. Remember your own self worth. Build some stable emotional foundations for yourself. The stronger you are the less they can affect you. Anything they do against you isn't really about you.

Best tips I've learned from having mom, dad, sister, extended family, landlords and lots of acquaintances of narcs; Don't depend on them for *anything*. Not shelter, food, money and mostly love. The way I reacted was to copy his texts and send them to my attorney. Good way to gather evidence. My attorney would briefly interpret for me. That's bullying. That's this or that. It really helped me to not answer back.

Sometimes, you need to get very very tough and it can get nasty, but at the end of the day, they leave you alone. My experience with past covert bf’s 1 and 2 is that they are soft spoken and gentle in nature. They come across as level headed and calm, smooth operators. Their voices are soothing and non threatening which is contradictory to their behaviour. Duping me with softness / kindness. They don’t get ugly until they get narc raged or injured. The duality is so conflicting, causing the cognitive dissonance, good/bad behaviour pattern. Ugh!!

My latest contact with a narcissist is unique, he's "dating" my daughter and swindling/stealing from all of us. The narcissist i know admits to it. The claim is stated, "I like who I am, and I'm not going to change for anyone" Do as I say, not as I do. You have to train a woman. Its my way or the highway. Its all about me, this person says. This person not only does it to women but anyone they can. Yes narcissist have many main traits but they have different tactics and words. The narcissist has many strategies they use towards different individuals. They practice the strategies until they perfect the outcome per person. Not all strategies work the same on every person. We may have similar experiences with a narcissist but the techniques they use vary per narcissist. My suggestion is always be on guard regardless of whom the person is. Always question the words and actions to see if it aligns. When in doubt became like a private investigate. Gather the proof you need for yourself, keep that info to yourself and in a safe locked place for further use to free yourself.

Very good..pretty much how I managed..and was able to be me again..even after re contact...NC for 7 mos...got him to see I wasnt playing HIS game his way any longer. Once that happened he didnt play the games..he actually was nice...asked instead of saying.." you need to do this or that" actually showed respect..and with his therapist's help..began speaking his feelings..openly to me..and I could say ..yes or NO without his usual tactics or anger..whiny...or complaining..but that lasted 3 weeks...He was in a terrible accident. Only 4 days after we reconnected physically...he died instantly. And now I have to try ONLY to remember the GOOD stuff between us! I do believe now in those last 3 weeks...he actually showed he truly loved me...not in Denial..I saw him change.. and show his good.. positive feelings..he was once afraid to reveal..that Im thankful for...and grateful I was able to see it..be with him..and even slipped myself and said I LOVE YOU...before he was gone! Yes it is an illness... but I got to witness him without the mask..as the good, not the evil...that had taken and screwed up all the good.. he had but was afraid of! Im thankful God let me see that..my prayers for that was answered. It was a true accident that took his life..i do NOT believe in coincidences..but believe their is a reason for everything! Why it happened at this particular time...i dontbknow..only God does...but I still trust God...HE knows all..i do not! It still hurts the same..but I will not lose my faith! One day..maybe HE will tell or show me the answer!

Being on Covid lockdown with my covert narc has benn an unnerving hell. Countdown to an ambush move with 10 friends 10 days from now. What made it so hard was cognitive dissonance - in other words - you knew intellectually what they were doing but you were so busy surviving their savage treatment - you had to suppress your emotions. What you have said is the truth thus far. I've been a victim of such a person. I'm dealing with a narcissist right now and I find what seems to be working for now is me staying away. This narcissistic person is a female nurse whom I had to attain a T.R.O. for. This resonated with my experience. My childhood abusers are worried about how others view them. They will crazy make the people they say they loved, or love as delusional for fear of their abuse, and manipulation being exposed. They have made alliances with serial rapists, pedos, and criminals in order to further abuse their victims. They do not care who gets hurt as long as the abused is isolated from family, friends, and children to whom they might speak up about their behavior to. The abused may never even want to talk about the abuse, but it’s too risky for the family to have relationships with each other. The abusers will project their behavior on others, and flip the script. They can turn the most innocent of things into out of this world drama. It’s mind boggling. I know that my mistake was thinking these were relationships that could heal when in reality I should have forgiven, and kept my distance to protect my loved ones. There needs to be a cut off with these kinds of relationships.

Truth....How do i get my narcissists to stop disrespecting me? He says he doesn't care who he walks on to be successful. He says horrible nasty things to me, calls me names all the time. Threatens to throw me out of the house on a daily basis. We have been married for 9 years and I am getting ready to leave. I have a narcissist stalker creep.I have lived in this community for 6 yrs and for at least 4 years have been followed and monitored by this creep. 2 brothers to be exact, I have brought this to the attention of the office at least 7 times and nothing has been done, suggesting that this type of activity is being enabled. I know that my phone has been compromised. I feel like I am constantly being monitored, even in my own bathroom. I have never been in a situation like this. I wouldn't wish what I am going through upon, my worst enemy. They get a thrill out of seeing someone else in worry or misery. This is my life and to them it's simply a 'game'.

Try to stop hurting about what these defective mal-adapted meat suits say or think of you, when you realise how low a human form they are you can learn to care less and it won't hurt you as much or at all. If you’re with them too long, can they make you like morph into narcissistic behavior, too? Is that what folks mean by “loose yourself” when talking about dealing with this type of person? The empathy card: A suspected narc I know has even gotten mad and mentioned that I “have the empathy card on [him] - [he’ll] give me that much.” But the thing is: he seemed jealously mad. It was the strangest conversation ever. I wanted to be like, “Well, develop yours, then” but I was too scared of what that type of comment would bring on.

My husband won’t leave me alone I have a permanent restraining order I don’t communicate with him in any kind of way I have called the police many times. I am tired of running. I want justice and to be left alone so how do I get the courts to follow through with the prison time since he broken the restraining orders since day 1. Keep yourself protected get door alarms the kind that go off when door opens get cameras for inside the home and outside if u can carry a gun then do so have some kind of protection on u at all times like mace pepper spray a taser stun gun always look around before u get out of your car and i mean scan your surroundings especially by your home but everywhere even when leaving a store bc he knows your car look for tracking devices under the car etc etc point being guys like that w no fear that has warrants and constantly breakin restraining order and when cops are not doing their job it can turn deadly. Get a guard dog train it to guard the house get 2 dogs if u can but true guard dog training put alarms on windows too. I mean i say this not to scare you but i see these crime shows on tv and well just gotta protect yourself.

Truth x’s 10. I think I sent my poor therapist into early retirement during my final end with the ex husband Narcissist! 🤭 He had cameras up in our house and everything I did I was recorded. He spent hours editing them. It’s been 2 years. I went complete NO Contact and moved over an hour away. He still watches and reaches out. The last time I reminded him of my boundaries of no contact and if he needed to communicate with me have an attorney reach out. It’s something I never knew possible.
