I'll use it for adverts/voiceover/games this kind of stuff. It's not only useful for beginners but it seems to be also useful for work with deadlines. Maybe I wouldn't use it for top pop productions (which I don't do) but for a 'broadcast' type of stuff it may save lots of my time, especially in tasks to be done "yesterday if you can, please". Also, it's less distracting than its big brother when Smart EQ features are not needed.

@DerekPower Жыл бұрын
I think of the smart:bundle as having more features that you can tweak or even use right off the bat (without using the AI side of it). The pure:bundle is a "quick and dirty" one. For instance, I use the pure:limit whenever I do WIP mixes as a way to get a tasteful volume boost when evaluating mixes and then I don't use it when I do my mastering.

I don't think it has the grouping functionality does it? If I am correct, then to me this is the biggest difference. Smart EQ would be used to group a number of tracks together and have the Smart EQ AI analyze the tracks together and generate processing that will essentially carve space in the mix. Someone please let me know if I am wrong.

Absolutely dangerous this thing.. THATS JUST MY OPPINION. IF you think you feel diffeent about Linear Phase, ok..

Is this sponsored content? Can't see it in the description. Why I ask is because I only hear promotional talk, no downside of using this plugin is discussed whatsoever.
@mixbustv Жыл бұрын
First off, it's got 3 knobs. It ain't that complicated, either it works or it doesn't, what "downside" are you looking for? And second, I probably get 10 to 15 requests a week to review plugins, unlike other channels that will push anything for a buck, I don't have to, and if I don't like something, I simply don't use it, don't do videos on it, don't talk about it. I don't and never will understand people who make a video about something they don't like. Or better, I do understand, I gotta mix and I don't have time for that stuff
@RutgerS. Жыл бұрын
@@mixbustv fair enough! What's your view on reviewing plugins completely objective and independent? I just feel that viewers these days are persuaded to buy plugins by influencers that just promote plugins rather than give genuine advice. Every plugin has its pros and cons, but more often than not, videos only tell the pros because of developer dependency. When you review analog vs digital for instance, you mention all the cons of digital plugins, but when you review a plugin on its own there's no critique whatsoever.
@mixbustv Жыл бұрын
The answer is in my previous comment. Some people will feature anything on their channel if they're paid for. But don't get fooled, a video pointing out how much someone "dislike" a piece or a software is STILL promotion, it just runs on controversy. The viewers should look at who are they watching and judge based on the idea they have of that person. Are they youtubers and their only livelihood is youtube? Most likely they won't say no to anything, regardless what they think. You will never find me "slipping" or contraddict myself: I have ALWAYS said that plugins don't sound like hardware, with the exceptions of 3 probably that sounds so close (still not the same) that they took the "itch" for me to have the hardware, also because I have enough. So if I review a plugin, I'm not gonna reiterate "hey this plugin is good BUT IT WON"T SOUND LIKE THE HARDWARE" over and over, because people who follows me know what I think, SEE what I use (BOTH) and for what. My body of work is also out there for everyone to see, I mix for a living and that's, I feel, more than enough information for everyone to make up their mind whether or not they can trust me. Digging even more, part of my personal life is out there too so people can see even beyond my channel if they want to. I don't do drama, I'm happily engaged, I'm a highly disciplined man and you probably won't hear anyone who's more successul or more accomplished than me saying something bad about me, you will only see a few people doing less than me saying something off and you can probably count those on one hand.
