I’m still not entirely sold that it was water strike tbh. The trailer is cut so weird at that part. Really wish they gave us like 5 seconds before that to see what the hunter was doing before. It could just be a well timed golf swing that got a stagger.

Yea we just got to get the math right! As much as I enjoyed using Impact Burst it only buffing charged attacks really messed with the feel and flow of hammer gameplay. Now with it gone oh baby we’re back to Big Bang Combos!

I'm not seeing any of the Strength Mode/Power Charge attacks in the trailer, I really hope they didn't get removed! Those was my favorire part of Hammer! Landing a Brutal Big Bang felt like landing a blunt TCS!

Right! Nothing about charge switching at all is strange after featuring it so prominently in Sunbreak. We’ll have to wait and see I suppose. Idk why they didn’t show it even if you add 10 seconds to the trailer it wouldn’t be the longest showcase.

octopus would be awesome, what exactly about the armor/weapon makes you think that instead of a bird or snake monster? i feel like I'm missing something here. honestly i think the level of detail in the hammer is a bit too much(not in a bad way) like it's a cut above the rest in terms of effects like the brain and pulsing veins that the whole set is an argosy exclusive item maybe. I know hammers get some physical effects when charging so maybe they are just stepping up their game

​@@Colton42-d7b i guess when i was saying bird i was thinking of bird-like kinda how gypceros or yaingaro have breaks but are made of demonic skin or some of the pheonex like birds from frontier but they do have feathers, ya i completely forgot about the octopus having beaks and the brain / energy gives off abyss vibes so it's definitely a more likely suspect 😅

Awe a normal hammer for that bit, was holding out hope he had a silly head on a stick. Yeah it's a tiny beak and a massive blue brain. A lot of people are going to say it's a poison monster because it's purple but the light blue brain makes me think it could be like a sleep monster and a bird because the hammer has a tiny beak on the skull. The female armor is like a nurse so maybe it's more anesthesia, putting you under before cutting you open, then the plague doctor motif. That last one has you spinning it virtically and it charges as you spin, you can see the hunter glow a couple times. Rise up? Wrong game, don't you mean hammer mains go Wild?

Yea hammer definitely can have some tough match ups due to heads being hard to reach at times. It does kinda seem like we have quite a bit more verticality in our swinging to clipping high reaching heads might be easier this go around!
