As developers we usually start by hardcoding values in our project, then we think we are being super smart by abstracting it to a config file - but this is still in our codebase and would still require creating a release and deployment. Then with more experience, we might move on to envars. However there is a better way by using a feature flag tool like Flagsmith (which is also Open Source). This way you can make changes easily and as often as you like without any code changes or deployments. Plus you can even do amazing things like A/B testing.
Join me and Rodrigo López Dato, Customer Success Engineer at Flagsmith as we use these Flagsmith features on The Open Source HealthCheck project.
