The stealth aspect of PUBG is actually a very important subgame, and is already a bit deep, and can be made even more deep with some work. However, the Blue Chip Detector flattens it out of the game. When you add a mechanic that flattens the entire stealth subgame out of PUBG into the push of a single button, you have actually made the game smaller, with less room for play, instead of larger.

Collect all the dead blue chips you find and save them for the endgame phases, you drop them around your area or inside the building you're in, the detector only looks for chips, alive or dead. your opponent will have difficulty pin-pointing your teams exact location if his detector is picking up on the other chips.

@@kanowne I noticed quite early on when PUBG was released that if I turned a "boost" feature on in my Windows sound-settings the footsteps gets louder while the gun-shots gets lower, this made me hear footsteps and people crouch-walking a lot easier. On default settings the gun-shots gets really loud so you have to lower the sound which makes you barely hear any footsteps, I believe this is the phenomena you and your mates are having, I had it too with my friend, yes I actually have a friend. So when PUBG was new I noticed that I heard better then almost anyone else playing, so I always felt that I was cheating, I definitely had an upper-hand, so try to fiddle with a "boost" feature.

As a console player, the thing I hate most about the blue chip detector is that it forces me to run a jammer over a 3 backpack. Choosing between extra throwable’s or heals, or choosing not to be seen by blue chip… been running the spotter scope, but I feel like the blue chip needs to go. Even my buddy that I play with on the regular is already starting to rely on the BC detector. I’m having to remind him of jammers, or possible dead bodies and to put that just put it away and focus on the actual game play…

When you introduce this kind of mechanics, good players can't take advantages of the situations and use their brains and skills to win against the worse players: the wallhacker always knows where you are. That's what they did in Battlefield series with this kind of wallhacks: when you spot someone, they appear red on your screen, as well as on the screen of all other players in your team, and on the minimap, too. Then there's all the UAVs that also spot your enemies on the map. Basically, a bunch of wall hacks for players.

The devs are so out of touch it's not even funny. Instead of working on core issues (optimization, proper killcam sync, giving PUBG a facelift because its starting to look dated), theyre showering their community with wallhacks, dollhouse skins and kpop costumes. If some noobs have issues with rats, give them some mild crutches in casual mode and let the rest of us play PUBG, a competitive military shooter.

At least the drone has decent counter play and requires you to relay information to your teammates. It's also somewhat realistic, considering current warfare. The blue-chip detector breaks the game and is pure fantasy. It's not fun for either party to use the device. REMOVE IT.

I agree 100%. There seems be an element of people in PUBG that to not want a player to have a chance of stealth! One of the things I have always liked about this game is the ability to use stealth and cunning in defeating your opponent! PUBG is not JUST a shoot them up game, at least in my mind! This is almost like using a cheat! Please remove it!

This is the first time I filled in the PUBG feedback form for the patch, just to say that the bluechip detector needs to be removed, or add a jammer perk so you can choose to remain hidden. Finding a jammer pack is RNG so can't guarantee a counter to it, and if you are the last remaining in your squad against a full 4 man and one has detector, your slim chance of winning just became 0.

I AGREE 100% YES, remove the Radar (blue chip detector) from the game. It truly ruins the PUBG experience! Also, remove self revives. It also ruins the experience. @@poorsvids4738 well, you still run into cheaters like almost every round and they have weapon skins and clothing cosmetics worth a LOT and also are so high level that those are 100% no new accounts. I know that they are hacking because I report a lot and everytime I open the game I have at least 6-10 temp and perma bans. The other day I saw 25 people jumping into one house, going into one room and then 1 guy who jumped down with them killed them with 1 granade. I saw last week someone killing 41 people within 4 minutes on ranked tpp. and that account is still not banned. they game is soo great but the hackers ruin it completely.

After 2500+ hours at PUBG I seem to get worse at playing it with every patch. I think it's because of the power creep. It was fun back in the early days when loot was scarce and you could sometimes get lucky. I almost never kill anybody now - opponents are always so loaded up, everyone has an AR and a sniper/DMR within 1 minutes of dropping. The blue chip detector makes it even worse. It won't help low-skilled players, and high-skilled payers will just use it to destroy and dominate, as demonstrated here. Any last hope of having fun with this game is now over.

I think a good nerf for it would be for jammer packs to be a little more common and if you're wearing one the blue bar will flash if someone else is trying to ping you with the blue chip so that way you know that someone is nearby with a blue chip detector

The whole TG-Update as a mistake. I am still pissed af, that they killed of the EMT Gear. If they wanted more players to pick them up they should just give them more appreciation. You basiclly got nothing for using them. They dont count into your end-of-game score, not does it track anything (like a leveling system or atleast some stats; eg. healing done, total enemies spotted...) And i agree that the BCD should be removed from the game.

before knowing BC detector works in (almost) every map, I used to be run around with DBS and DMR/SR, and tack pack with 2 panzers or c4 like a mad man, but since now I knew it, I just become more reliance toward BC detector, made me play more passive, especially in early( after land) and final circle

I don't know if removing the BCD is the only way. I got some ideas to balance it: - Make the BCD load 1-2 seconds to scan. - Remove structure from the BCD to make it harder to detect the actual position of the enemy. - Remove the dot from the BCD and only show a direction where the enemy is. - Let the BCD have a battery which depletes with every use. - Disable it for the first few minutes of the game to save the early game tension when landing.

Devs said they removed paramedic package out of the game world due to the fact that common players need both short and long range guns. Bruh, there was both Skorpion and G18 auto that could be used along with a sniper rifle ( and the paramedic package ) I'm so sad I can't be paramedic anymore, it really made me enjoy the game a lot

Most of his kills are crazy sick and extremely well executed but they don't correlate to how he plays overall. Such as opening his inventory to click meds, his driving skills, also when he finds a VSS he suddenly changes his playstyle and is able to detect and find everybody with no problem, perfectly maneuvering to shoot them in the side and back. The only way for both of us to know for sure is if he had a screen cam.... Which he doesn't. Sorry I don't trust these random Joe Smucks who are crazy good at this game and has never played live in a pro setting or who doesn't use a screen cam during gameplay.

Agreed, stealth is part of the game. Some situations make a push impossible as you don't know what your walking into. As you saw 3 times Wacky totally defused the ambush. A legal cheat if you ask me

I think the Blue Chip Detector can be in the game with nerfs like these; players being tracked are notified that their position has been compromised, the blue chip detector makes an audible sound to other players when used and maybe even battery life drainage when used. You could also instead add a placeable item that jams or destroys the blue chip detectors. This could be part of the tactical gear and would work in a radius of maybe 100 meters? Maybe it could even be picked up again and replaced over and over. This would be pretty cool as there would be a counter to the blue chip detector from the start of the game.

All the stealth gameplay and all the mind games you can do were one of the reasons I play this game! And this BCD is really taking that what makes PUBG PUBG out of PUBG! And All of the community hates this thing! If the devs don´t listen to us, this will leave a big scar on their reputation!

I don't know, people are shooting down my drones all the damn time and when you're using your drone you're stunlocked and it takes time to gather that intelligence. it's not like the BCD's blips

Please remove the blue chip detector. I loved the early PUBG because it was raw and didn't have any gadgets at all. You just needed to rely on your tactical skills and strategies, thats also where PUBGs gameplay is so much better than any other Battle Royale game.

the blue chip detector should only work on players who have one with them too so if both players want to use it they can use it against each other if you want dont want to use it dont pick it and you wont be detected.

Of course you can balance it. 1. Make all BCD scans require a 5-8 second cast time that forces you to stand still when using. No more auto scanning every 8 seconds and no more instant scans. 2. Initiating a scan makes an audible beep that is about as loud as a footstep. This not only lets nearby players know that you have a BCD but also your location. 3. All blue chips that get picked up on a scanner would emit and audible "ping." Even the ones on dead players. In other words, if someone detects your blue chip, you will know. (You just won't know where they are) With point number 3, you could technically triangulate BCD users if you lay out a bunch of collected chips and listen to the order of their ping.

I've gotten only a couple in six years. The worst though is watching one drop next to your last opponent when your gear is just about broken.

If enemy is not giving footsteps and doing hard camping..then only blue chip should detect them like if they are at same place more than 15 seconds 👍

The blue chip detector has been around since before they implemented the blue chips. I remember wondering what a blue chip was and why I needed to find one before I realized it tracked enemies. Found it in the hydroelectric dam a couple of months ago.

They should make an exception for the bluechip detector an make it a super rare world spawn lootable item again (like it used to be on deston) and apply the old tactical gear equip rules for it (no 2nd weapon)

R6 siege has a similar tool (lion). It is balanced by letting detectee know when they are spotted. This makes the tool useful to know someone is around but not to know exactly where to pick as enemy will likely move once they knows they are detected.

I like that the blue chip detector its in the game like that currently, as it makes the decision to play Diablo 4 instead even easier. However, I hope they will remove the blue chip detector before I return.
