Great video! I love the PowerPlatform but the licensing is such a pain (especially in my industry)! Hopefully with the convergence of many products they will also simplify some of their licensing structure.

I don't think anyone would complain about that. 💛

Thanks for stepping through the suite of Power products. As a 20 year Access developer I am anxious if something will come along that has all the robust development tools of Access but for a web environment. Canvas is still kinda clunky and Dataverse is not really good at large data sets. I keep my eyes open for videos like this to see what's good and bad about these new systems. 😊

Love your videos Shane. So easy for me to recommend you to anyone seeking Power Apps guidance. I noticed the side menu nav bar you are using in your app (2:25) and really like the look of it. Is this one you have created in a previous video or is there somewhere I can go to learn how to create this? Thanks 😊😊

I haven't made a video on that one directly yet. One of our branding people made that template. If I was trying to build that look I would use a container to make the big shape the icons sit on. The icons in this case are actually Images. Hope that gives you some ideas.

Thanks for another great video! One thing I noticed about Forms though - Form submission doesnt provide questions text so you cannot get questions text in a flow dynamically, like, in our case, we have to save answers from one form in JSON format (but form result output hase questions ids , not question text :( ) and customer is likely to change/add/remove form questions time to time so we should go and update the flow every time its done. Unless anyone knows how to get Form questions text in a flow

Great stuff like always, thanks for the video. I am preparing for my pl100 exam this Saturday. I have read all the documentation and did the trial tests. Any ideas how to prepare more for it? Thanks for your advice. Kind regards

An idea for future videos: More advanced PDF document creators with professional look, best practises and ways of working, with and without premium license. I've gone through your videos how to create PDF documents many times and that's how I learned to create them, a big thanks for that. However I quickly ran into issues like a:) PDF is too long, and the page split just doesn't seem to work properly with Power Apps HTML control and Power Automate. Also it is quite confusing how the HTML text looks different in Power Apps and Power Automate, it's kinda tricky to build what you want exactly. Also I am not sure but HTML CSS language doesn't seem to function properly either in the Apps - Automate workflow. So if you're pro with the html and Power apps / automate, it'd be nice to get a more advanced video on it. How to use fonts, images, colors, tables. To continue, another idea would be how to use Teams chatbot to send a choice of buttons to user, and button triggers Power Automates or Power Apps. Because many times I wouldn't even need the user to go my app to fill out info or click dropdowns, they could simply reply to their teams message. I know there are some videos about this, but I never really got the hang of it. Anyway, thanks a lot for the Power Platform package, it was useful.

Hey Shane, Can you please clarify "Pages" for me? Is Power Pages Website different then if I make a custom Page in my solution?
@ShanesCows10 ай бұрын
Yes, custom pages inside of Model-driven apps are a different beast. This is why I hate they use the word page so randomly. 🙄
