No Voice, No annoying music! Just show me how! Well done! Thank You

Thank you so much for this video. This type of Christmas light is ubiquitous all over the world, and they all have the same annoying blinking modes. Now all I need is to figure out how to put a dimmer on it.

Problem with doing this on most super cheap lights is that the resistors that are in series with the LEDs are calculated with flashing in mind so that way they don't dissipate much power, if you make them stay steady on, they will overheat and die sooner.

Thank you so much for this video it is amazingly helpful and much appreciated. Is the soldering iron step necessary? I currently don't have access to one but if it is a vital step I don't want to miss it. Thanks!

You can just cut the Two black components called transistor those having three 'legs' and let just enough lenth in order to short them by torsading them. I hope this will help

Just curious... can you just cut the circuit box off and re-wire the plug onto the lights wire?
@DadYouNeverHad2 жыл бұрын
You do that, and you'll put 110v (or 220v, depending upon where you live) through LEDs meant for 15v MAX voltage - so no.

@@DadYouNeverHad it's actually higher fir these ones + these are dc, 12 volts whereas if bypass then you are putting 100-240 volts depending on your country

Almost all videos involving soldering drive me crazy. Why does no one know the correct way to solder. Soldering is not a matter of dropping a blob of solder onto the connection. Also, why does no one CLEAN their tip? It's so easy...flux and a cotton rag, a wet cellulose sponge, or a piece of coarse steel wool will do the trick. Also, your pencil or gun tip will last longer if maintained this way, not to mention your solder joints will look and function better. Not trying to be critical... I used to teach Military Specification Soldering to electronic techs.

Arubaguy, this isn't a "best soldering practices" video. This generous soul shot, edited and posted an incredibly helpful, easy to follow video to show how he fixed this annoying blinking light problem...on string lights...for personal use...I myself am super grateful Marius Hobby DIY posted this. It's actually the best one I've come across.

@@heather3231 I'm sorry if I came across as being picky when the point of the video was to correct a bothersome condition. I appreciate those who spend the time and effort to post helpful information. It's just that poor soldering practices seem almost ubiquitous in videos that show soldering being done, and it's so easy to solder correctly.

I won't even mention that bridging connections using only solder as the conductor is incorrect, too. 😂

You can just remove the ek 04 microcontroller not the triacs.
