This was an excellent breakdown Maria! Very well written, nuanced and thought out! I bought a boho long peasant type dress recently only to realize I’d probably never wear it! 😂 Not really my jam. However, you are so right in qualifying the “sticking to your style” tip, because sometimes we do want step outside our comfort zone and perhaps discover another side to our personal style!

Hello Maria Sunshine! Your hair is too CUTE! The 90/10 rule is one I’ve never heard of, but it makes perfect sense. Thanks to you, I actually am close to the 90/10 rule instead of 100/0 (or 0/100)! 😁 I like how you share your thoughts and give great examples that we can all follow to be more confident women, not just in our clothing, but in who we are as people, too. Hi Sweet Stacy! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your kind words. Most people suggest 80/20 but I usually say 90/10 because it ends up at 80/20 anyway. Yes I love trends and I buy alot because I love to style up trends and show new things on my channel so I often invest in alot of trendy stuff but in reality I think less is more and having a closet of wearable items is key. Have fun with that 10%! And I need to be more conscious of better fabrics - this video was a lesson for me just as much as for you ladies! So happy to see you. xoxo

Great suggestions Maria! I was a repeat offender of buying things just because they were on sale. I’m trying to be more mindful of new things I am adding to my closet. It is super hard to say no to something that is a good deal though.😅

Hi Shannon, I am right there with you! It’s definitely hard to resist a good sale, but try to think of what you will really wear and if it fits your current style. I like to save items to my favorites on the brand's sight and keep an eye out for a sale. By that time, I've had time to think of the purchase, a cooling off period, and sometimes by the sale time, I don't even want the piece anymore (or I still want it and glad I waited!) Hi! Thank you for your question. I think Banana Republic has some lovely options rstyle.me/+YziAieFVDPyHJgJvp_SxHQ and they have a sale right now (keep my pointers in mind to make good choices) . I would also try JCrew or Madewell. reformation has nice ones but they are pricey. I would stick to wool or wool blend blazers for best quality. Hope that helps!

Hi Maria Thank you for yet another great video! Great tips, I try to really keep the 90/10 rule. I do love trends but I try ….try…. 😜 not to fall into buying too many pieces. I usually try to limit it to (maybe) one a season, just to keep everything looking current. I also try lol during the sales, I ask myself all the questions you put forward….but I don’t answer truthfully 🤣🤣 and have ended up with items I do not wear (all because I got a bargain lol) Looking forward to your next video.
