This is just a bad review, but he's gotten better with the newer ones

The old Classics Hot Rod I liked mostly because there was a third party add-on allowing me to make him into Rodimus Prime, and that armor set was pretty awesome for the time.

Most voyager Titans Return figures have unique titan masters. Galvatron has a mini Megatron, and Optimus comes with Diac.

Oh cool, not a bad figure. I would prefer a Rodimus Figure, but eh. Great stop motion and review as always. Can't wait for more! Here's a tip if you don't want the headmaster's legs because it limits rotation: Just gently snap them off with your hands. Not break, like, try to slowly pull. If you're not too sure how, I could send you a video how to.

Well in the US show he was a targetmaster in the rebirth. But when Tarkara made the headmasters series they disregarded the rebirth

Pretty much he does become Rodimus Prime again in episode 3 does some here and there but after cybertron is destroyed in episode 10 him, Kup and blurr go off to find a new planet for cybertronains and never seen again in series

Nice review. I'm not really into the character, but I must admit that he seems to look like a good transforming car robot. My son really likes the little head master toys. Sitting in guns look goofy to me, but piloting vehicles is cool. How do toy had stickers hold up with use?

Cardboard Bots i agree. this character is one of my bottom 10's but the mold itself, I find it hard to fault much. stickers aren't too bad, and I animate a ton with them, but I'm also careful while animating so.....as for kids? no idea = P

Your review was great man! I agree with you about the Titanmaster stuff. I strongly suspect that this figure wasn't going to have one. It has this large gap, just big enough for a head, underneath the faux engine block, and if that wasn't there, plus the plate that makes up the top of his chest, it would theoretically transform with no problem. After transforming it the first time I noticed this and figured the back of Hot Rod's head was originally supposed to be the engine block. And his head clip seems like an afterthought too. And I figure he's red, since Hasbro probably figures the target market, young boys, might not like a magenta Hot Rod... Anyway, just some theories.

I never cared much for this character either. He just was such an underwhelming leader compared to Optimus. He was like every other generic leader character from the 1980's. Optimus Prime was so different and Hot Rod was just..... boring. I probably won't get this figure cuz of that gross looking headmaster he comes with and I don't like how high his shoulders go and that his spoiler is nearly impossible to see over them.

Hot rod has become a much a better character since the movie and btw his original color in the animation of the cartoon was red and im so sick of people complaining that he sucks as a leader even though in the show he was questioning his leadership but i guess if he gets in the way of optimus one time he is hated forever. ehh not much of a comics fan. if it were a novel i could get into it but comics are just a medium I don't like. personal preference and all that. I like talking about scale. if that doesn't suit your fancy, hey that's your personal preference, but I don't exactly see the need to be rude. I like the concept, I was introduced to the series through micheal bay as my parents would let me watch it as a kid, I never claimed to like every and all things TF, I discovered G1 when I was 22 and dang did I ever like those designs. again this is all subjective, I have my preferences, you have yours, and the world continues to spin
