Studio series bumblebee movie optimus prime doesn't really match to its final design we saw at the end of the movie, it actually resembles the the cab truck in age of extinction before he chose the semi truck, the one we got after the movie was different

I think the truck Mode is different from the one in the bumblebee film is because either it was based off of concept art, or they just needed to reuse some other truck model that they already had in their possession for cost reasons, or maybe it was copyright issues.

I think the reason why the truck mode looks different is because the figure was based off of Concept art. You probably no this already, but when the movie comes out. Hasbro uses Concept art to make the figures.

Alright so, if you remove the tire kibble in the back and work with some parts, you can get an ab crunch and make even more dynamic poses. Also, I find it funny the stand port is comparable with Takara's rival company, Bandai stands. Finally, this review was one of your smoothest. Nice job

I find it ironic that 2014's voyager class "Evasion mode Optimus" turned into a truck that more resembles the one seen at the end of Bumblebee, and now it 2020 we got a Prime that turns into the truck from AOE. And even more ironically, besides the inaccurate alt modes, they also had other glaring changes from their screen designs. Eva Prime being the colour scheme, SS 38 being most of the robot mode.

I don't know what they were thinking with AOE Prime, I don't hate it, but as this shows, the Transformers should have some key elements of the alt mode used properly like its proud to be a Transformer, otherwise, it just looks like some undefined robot.

Okay, I know this probably doesn't matter seeing as it wasn't a main part in the review, but you didn't have your Armada Optimus Prime's arms transformed correctly. You didn't have the shoulders collapsed. It might be a nitpick, but I did notice it and its gorrilla proportions in the line up. If someone has already brought this up I apologize.

The reason why the rims are different is because the front tires are skinny so the rims need to be thin while the rear tires are bigger so the rims need to be wide. Information people probably don't care knowing about except the weird ones like me.

Haha not at all what I was talking about. Was talking about the rim style, not the shape. Because you're correct and the shape is accurate. It'd the equivalent of having 5 spoke rims on the front of your car, and 12 spoke on the back. It would just look sloppy

The figure is great, the review itself is fine. The only problem I have is that the boosted framerate reminds me of quite a few other stopmotion productions where that same software was the the only thing in between frames. Standing pose to pointing pose with only the software being used. However, the production quality already put in makes it less noticeable in general, which means that the times it is noticeable, it sticks out like a sore thumb, but that isn't very often. As always, a fantastic review with good objective and subjective talking points, and a healthy dose of humor to keep it from being boring.

yeah I get that. I'm trying different ways to film to help the program interpolate more smothly, but you're right sometimes it's a little jarring. (some people find it so much so that I've added the original frame rate along side the upload of this)

Part of that is measuring them myself, another part is there's a thread on tfw2005 Measuring is easy though. Pick your vehicle, find it's dimensions online, measure the same distance on your figure and divide your figure to the real world. For instance if your model is 2 inches, and the real world is 174, then 2 divide by 174 become 1:87 scale

but what about siege optimus, earthrise optimus(hes been out for awhile before this was posted so im counting it), evasion mode optimus, mp-44 aint that bad, mp 10 is clean (albeit a bit to THICC) and im assuming were not counting 3rd party but most 3rd party primes are pretty clean, even the 06 classics figures are pretty clean. Personally i think the beds of past primes have been the least of their problems. But you probably are right about it being the thinnest and best at hiding the feet.

I think this figure was based off the concept design of the character. Which was different from the design in the movie. That is why this figure has a different truck from the rest of the movie.

the only thing I don't really love about that figure (and design by an extent) is the head, it's good but not as sharp as it could have been. fortunately the ball joint is The same size as the siege galaxy optimus base robot, which is the best prime head I've seen since the mp 10 one
