So sad that everytime I told my dad about an idea he would say stop dreaming son that used to make me angry he would constantly stop me. On his death bed I told him I'm thinking of flying a commercial airplane so he says your too old I just wanted to hear him say go for it son. He was the only one I wanted to tell my dreams about. He died broke and in debt never asked God what his purpose in life. Love you brother Ike so true what you have said.

My Uncle, Papa, and father figure Rev. Ike. His wisdom was something my great grandparents listen too and its funny how they never went without anything and in a day and age where most lived poorly they lived in a loving household with more then enough food, clothes, love, happiness... and that was with 10 children and raised 2 grands and took part in raising many more.... in a big brick house whose walls had sincere history with roots as strong as a 100 year old tree... They also were married for 75 years

I learned many years ago to keep your ideas and desire in secret. The majority of times when you share with those you love they are the same ones who will strike you down. I had parents that pretended they wanted the best for me when in reality they hindered any progress I tried to make and my father willfully and purposely used me for his financial gain. I loved them so blindly I accepted their narcissism and mental abuse. It too me many years to cut them off along with the rest my family. I have not seen or spoken to family in almost ten years. A lot has changed and I accepted what happened, learned from it and moved on.

I think a lot of parents do not understand the children come through them, they don’t “belong” to them like property. The children belong to God. So the vision God gives the children has nothing to do with the parents. Jesus himself is a great example of this. Rev Ike preached a word here.
