Better than the others I watched today on this, good flow

Thanks so much for this reminder. After 6 months off I’m a bit rusty & I needed this. You are my favourite You tube coach - so clearly explained and just enough data to support it. Thanks again, Coach!

Thank you for this, I have disabilities to contend with and mess about all the time with set up and everything you said simplifies what’s in my head and find when I swing properly I hurt less, and set up with ball position is my main fault that I change from one shot to the next. Need to concentrate on set up more which is both less pain and better golf as no need to work as hard

The 2nd technique works best for me. In my efforts to extend I sometimes tee the ball to far forward

Gonna try this! Thanks. could ball placement too far forward with driver be why I can hit irons straight but pull driver?

Coach, can you do a strokes gained video that shows the metrics needed for going from a 7 to a scratch golfer?
@CoachLockey9 ай бұрын
I can help with that yes. Not sure I have a video on it though. Email me. coachlockey@gmail.com

Yep…that first swing u did is me. I hate pulling it man

Tip 1: that would be me lately... setting up the ball further forward in a rather desperate attempt to hit 'up' with the driver, only to find out that I was losing my natural draw in the process. lovely game this is innit? 🙂

Poor alignment to the right often leads to people pulling, dbl crossing, etc. So I'm surprised at your final tip of aiming right. Given they frequently already are and it's the root of the problem in many cases

Never thought of ball position has such huge influence to shoulder alignment. Amazing😂 Thanks a lot coach

thanks - this is my biggest issue off the tee.. I point my face at the target, and body further right which gets me generally in the right direction.

That last one is the hardest. I always end up trying a dozen different swing thoughts and lose strike altogether :(

Manuel de la Torre said to set up with club head in centre of stance...even for driver...check him out, it works...this is for casual golfers, not pro,'s.

well done on a excellent video, I think the best tip you gave was to aim right! I'm a senior player (65) and all the mechanics for me at least, are getting more difficult to master now

Talk about timing Coach! I need this… I so desperately need this…. LOL. Lately I’ve been having trouble with bomb hooks that start just a little left of target line. It bothers me so much as I’ve also noticed that my strike has become almost pinned to high toe. You’re the pro, but my guess is that moving my path back will probably change strike too.

my grip is normally strong on my irons which doesn’t give me much trouble but way too strong on my driver it’s a little awkward for me to have a weak grip so i need to keep practicing but other than that when i hit my driver good i usually just scrape my chin with shoulder in backswing, when i played the other day i didn’t do that once so i need to pay attention to my shoulders too , probably turning to quick nd early

thanks buddy! I'll work on this. Lately I just started pulling my drives. I'm happy I don't slice anymore, but lately they are going left.

Great tips coach, something I do 2/3 times per round usually on a big drive hole, I think Tip 2 is my problem. Cheers Coach.

Pause at the top of my backswing helps. Even a mili second made a pretty nice change from hook to almost straight.

Moving ball back straightens out but it might be harder to hit up on the ball. My aoa will get negative. 😢

This is my miss along with hooks, sometimes hitting ground first, also sometimes my set up distance to ball is off and stand too far off or too close. Any tips to make sure consistency at set up between stance and ball is correct?
@noggin64593 ай бұрын
I found that it only happens for me on tight holes. The cause for me was not completing my backswing, which made my shoulders open at impact. A full shoulder turn sorted it for me.

Nice. Clear, useful, good graphics. Subscribed. How open do you think the chest should be at impact? Rory at 55 degrees, what about for us amateurs? Thanks.

That will depend on lots of other things in your golf swing. Grips, face to path, path, loft delivery etc
