Very good homily and people should realize how much history has been taken away by changing speech. History is not talked in school. I liked learning about my country. Wonderful priest and teacher. Bless you father.

At the age of 90 catholic education plus very catholic home and never received this history. We need to have these books in all schools and soon. That is so very beautiful. God let this history be soon in books.

As the niece, wife and mother of United States Marines, the daughter of United States Soldier, the GOD daughter, of a United States Sailor, and the great niece from the great niece from the Greatest Generation, 2 soldiers and a sailor, this homily made me cry. I pray daily the Irresistible Novena to the Sacred Heart of JESUS for America 🇺🇸 While my heart breaks with justifiable anger how far America has fallen from CHRIST, this homily gave me such hope. Fr. Since the politicians have removed the Ten Commandments from our schools and you are even prohibited to mention God’s name. It’s really very sad and we can do now is pray the Holy Rosary, do fasting, and pray the Divine Mercy every day. Go to confession and receive the Holy Eucharist. God have mercy on us all and America.

Well done, Father! Excellent rendition of the true story of "Independence Day." Prior to that day, however, it should be important to keep in mind that Protestant England overthrew the Catholic settlements in this country (and Canada), which had been established long before their arrival, and Catholics were terribly persecuted. Perhaps you might also have a sermon about the Catholic history and influence that they were able to maintain, despite persecution. Recall the many cities named after saints, the hospitals, schools, and orphanages which served the poorest of the poor. This history has been scrubbed as well, and we need to restore HIS story!
