Considering the supposedly "momentum candle" has a longer wick on the bottom side, it might hint that there might be a reversal/retest to the previous support(now resistance). Now if the price didn't bounce off it, instead it would go through then it is a fake breakout.

This is hindsight. Price could have been at a juicy discount and that bearish candle with a respectable wick could represent a sweep to further skyrocket. You never know. It’s not a big deal. Just capitalize when your right and limit your loss when you’re wrong and boom you’re top g. Trend > Consolidation > counter trend is logical but so is a continuation of trend.

The trick is to take the trade immediately on the break out, hold for a couple of secs and close the instant the price hesitates... you buy enough to cover the spread and still make a small profit on a fractional move, this is how the professionals do it, never hold...
