There's a youtuber who said this: In today's modern Englisg, in America we USE "lay" instead of "lie" many times..." lay in bed". Actually there are some songs in which they use LAY instead of LIE: " I want to lay with you in the sea" (Song: truly, madly, deeply). Great video, Mike.

In this case, I would probably use "on my bed". "In bed" usually means that you are asleep, resting, sick, or not going anywhere anytime soon.

It is incredibly embarrassing that Americans need to be taught this basic concept despite being supposedly "native" speakers and having gone to school for so many years 🤦🏻‍♂. Moreover, that many songs and Hollywood movies/shows have scripts written with this mistake, and it passes through all the people and makes it to the final production!
