I love the emphasis on the fundamentals of form first and foremost. Too many players try to step 3-feet behind the 3 and heave terrible shots at the rim with undeveloped form. Fundamental form makes great shooters.

Thank you 🙏🏾 Everybody wants to go straight to the 3 point line and they wonder why they can only shoot from the 3 point line but can’t shoot midrange and can’t make consistent form shoot. They dint understand that they have poor shot mechanics. They don’t understand that making 3 pointers doesn’t make you an elite shooter.

Yup, many of my friends at school could shoot threes decently but when they'r left open in midrange, they cant make a thing. And yes, their shot mechanics are terrible. I'm thin and pretty weak, so i dont have enough strenght to make consistent threes. But, when i get to midrange, i made those shots around 8/10

i am a girl basketball player in a boys dominated sport. i take that as a blessing but i dont take it for granted. all i think about is basketball. i go to the gym literally almost every day, when not possible, im at my hoop or at practice. basketball makes me so happy and im on three teams this year. i watch your channel a lot along with nba highlights and other drill youtube channels, and i go to open gym training sessions all the time. i just wanted to say how much i love basketball tv is already helping me expecially since i intend on being one of the only grade tens on senior. a few of the sr players are even mentoring me over the summer because they think i can make it. this video was extremely helpful as a 3pt shooter. its a completely different dynamic on girls aswell, especially midget or junior varsity, they dont expect a three. i am leading 3 pt shooter on my team with a small amount but still i am so proud of not how good i am but how much ive improved. this season on junior varsity (they dont let us try for sr until next year, and they only have on gr 10 spot) on junior varsity i made 12 threes, and missed one, and the second most is my friend who has 3 and shoots over 7 three point shots every game and doesnt shoot anything else. i only take the shots i know i can make, and i understand the importance of having a good basketball iq so im not giving automatic turnovers like her where nobody gets the board since nobody expects her three. but i just wanted to say thank you. so much. during this pandemic i havent been able to go to the gym and the spring club team i worked so hard to make was postponed, and im really upset. i cant even train on my hoop today because its outside and i live in canada, and the weather hasnt warmed up yet. but thank u so much for everyone of your videos, they make me so much of a better player and so does the rest of the basketball community on youtube. the sport community in this sport is so much more of a family than any other sport and its truly the best community to be a part of. -claire
