The movements really improve the piece! So cool! Great performance!

I just want to say that you are the kind of performer we composers absolutely love. You took the performance to an entirely new level. I'm not sure if Akiho has seen this, but I hope he has. The piece is amazing, but you made it more than music, and that is very special.

Sorry for the late response. Thank you so much, Jonathan! Honestly, it was kind of thrown together the week of the performance, but I'm honored to know that you enjoyed it.

Thanks, everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I originally had some trepidation when it came to doing all of the weird gestures, but I'm glad that I took a chance and added them to the performance.

is that a brass philharmonic ? if so what tuning do you use
@AriHajek11 жыл бұрын
Yup! It's a 14 x 5 brass Phil. I can't remember the exact pitch I used for this recording (somewhere between A and Bb, perhaps), but I almost always go for a fourth between the batter and resonant heads on this drum. The sound for this performance was a little "pinched" for my taste, but it worked well enough in the hall.
