Stop Start Deactivation with DDT4ALL in the Renault Megane IV -
In this video i'm going to show you how to permanently disable or deactivate the Stop and Start system, which is a pretty useless and dangerous system for our engines.

I got today the new type obd tool. It works. I have clio IV, for that I need to find the correct variables. But I could manage to disable the TPMS and seatbelt warning sound. Not the light. That is ok for me. Thanks Michele. Maybe one time a movie of some abrivations in ddt4all, explaination the ones you know.

Hello Michele. I have switched off the start / stop system, switched on the cornering lights, switched off the video restriction, changed Km / Liters in the on-board computer and have the parking sensors visible in the dashboard. Thanks for the good videos.

congratulations for your videos. In your opinion, is it possible to create a latency on the start & stop insertion time? I have a Megane with an automatic gearbox, so every time I stop, the engine stops. At intersections it's a little annoying, as the instructions for use and maintenance, you should touch on the brake pedal, but it isn't always possible. What do you say?

i say that start and stop is bulllshit :) i mean, i hate it too, and i deactivated it permanently; unfortunately you are only able to do an on off, you can't modify latency (or i never saw a flag o cluster to change time)

Utilizzo l'adattatore da te consigliato nel tuo commento posto in primo piano. Per quanto riguarda la lettura dei km effettivi dell'auto tramite centralina ABS così come tutti i valori visualizzabili in marcia, nessun problema funziona tutto perfettamente come da tuoi video. ti consilgio di: vedere che la modifica sia stata effettivamente fatta.. dai un occhiata a DDT4ALL e assicurati che il parametro modificato venga letto correttamente. nel caso prova a rifare la modifica e prima di avviare l'auto chiudila a chiave per una decina di minuti, in modo che tutte le centraline si "addormentino". Quando la vai a riaprire le centraline ripartono "da zero" e dovrebbero acquisire il nuovo valore. a volte capita che le centraline non si spengano del tutto e tengano comunque in memoria il valore precedente

@@MicheleP I can see the front camera inside a housing at top centre of wind screen, but LDW seems like disabled by Renault/ local car vendor. I understand from others, my car is hardware ready but was disabled because not included in sales package and only activated for more expensive version. You have to search in the lights cluster a value called Scandinavian mode cf, it should be 1, you have to put 0

I don't like this method, I had it done like this but the start stop cannot start notification from board is crazing me. Try to deactivate it from Engine Control Module, one of the EDC17C84 lines, and go to start stop, help start stop configuration and change the 1st line to "Start Stop disabled for diagnostic tool". I said one of EDC17C84 beacause usually is working with 1st one, but in my case worked 2nd. With this proceedure no board notification is displayed, the led from start stop button start bright and cannot be actioned.

@@andreipupaza38 i guess that on kadjar the AEBS is not available. The problem is that in the Kadjar you don't have the front radar under the renault logo (the distance from the vehicle behind is shown in the dashboard). If you don't have this rada you won't be able to have the AEBS

@@davutcrak yes, when I wrote that comment, I also had a problem, steering wheel started locking as soon as u turn the engine off, 100% of the times, no exception, regardless of steer wheel position... So I went to revert changes, and tried again, all the same. And it just " worked " but, dont touch the button, turn the engine on, put it out of gear, and just raise the handbrake. After a few moments, a green crossed "A" will appear, letting u know that the start stop is off . If you press the button, it will say that it is "OFF" now, but it will actually be "ON"

yes, but by only pressing the button you have to do it every time you start the car, with this modify you write a value in the ECU, so it's permanent. you don't have to press the button every time

Hi! I have the the Kobra ODB2 with WiFi. I have loaded the ddt4all software on my Windows 10 notebook computer. I can connect to the ODB by WiFi and run the programme. I can select Megan IV Sedan (mine is sedan) and follow your steps. But when I try to double click the '... sailing_b4' then the software hangs and says 'not responding'. What do you think has gone wrong?

hi, unfortunately that ECU is very "difficult" to read. probably your OBD is not fully compatible..try to buy the one i provided in the description, that is the only one FULLY compatible with Renault ECUs and DDT4ALL

Buongiorno Michele, I have tried to deactivate Stop/Start on my Clio RS 2017 and I got some advice from some Russian garage and they said to do the following... UPC-EMM T4_EMM_DDT2000 EMM_AlternatorManagement - Configuration C-B_STOPSTARTInhibit, SET TO 1 But when I get to second step I have many selections that start with "T4_EMM_DDT2000"... including T4_EMM_DDT2000_SW8_V2.1, T4_EMM_DDT2000_SW8.4_V1, T4_EMM_DDT2000_SW7_V1.2.5, T4_EMM_DDT2000_SW8.5_V1.1, T4_EMM_DDT2000_SW6_V3_1_3, T4_EMM_DDT2000_SW5_V2_4 So I don't know which one to select... do you know what to do or where I can find out? @@meniost Did not work... But I did it another way.. I checked the signals on the back of the switch that activates/deactivates STOPSTART and designed a circuit that switches the button electrically that you would do manually. When engine starts after 1 minute my circuit checks that light is not active and if not it contacts the switch with relay on my circuit.

Enable / Disable StartStop Function X98Ph2 - ClioIV Ph2 ECU name -> BCM/UCH -> T4_VS_BCM_DDT2000_SW16_5 Screens -> GEE -> GEE - Configuration Change value of E_B_STOPSTARTINHIBIT_CF to True And if you want to remove the sign from the dashboard, you can do the following Cluster X98_X87_X82 \ GENERAL CONFIGURATION - SCREEN 1 \ StopStartPresent_CF Change the value to "without something" in order to eliminate on the CdB messages related to S&S.

No, with this hack the reset is not necessary. But I suggest you to lock the car and leave it locked for a while, so all the ECUS go in sleep mode and once you unlock the car they will restart. 👍🏻

@@BzikuTOJEJO be sure to deeply insert the obd interface in the port. sometimes also mine doesn't work and the error is just that i didn't deeply plugged the interface to the port. it has do sound like a "click"

@@MicheleP I did not. Today, at 1:30 PM, I am going to Renault for many problems. I will mention this problem also. I have a Megane 4 Sedan Intense with 140 bhp at it has many quality issues which generate many unpleasant noises inside the cabin.

Yep, you have to disable the ESE (engine sound enhancement)
