I definitely feel the side effects of diphenhydramine. Sleep score is great and definitely helps my rhinitis even at 5mg but can't function the next day...

Chlorphenamine has been good for me but I do notice its not as good as diphenhydramine for helping me breath through my nose, but it has other added benefits like helping with my mood.

Thanks SuitsW, Chlorphenamine is still one that makes you drowsy, so it is associated with the adverse effects we mentioned in the video. But if you are getting relief from your allergies AND mood issues, the benefits may outweigh the risks. The ones that don't make you drowsy include Loratadine (Claritin), Fexofenadine (Allegra), Cetirizine (Zyrtec), or Desloratadine (Clarinex). Cheers, Ken

Why is it so affective and so bad at the same time. I agree…it does work the best for drying out my sinuses and I can stop using tissue every 2 minutes and it helps me get better sleep when I don’t feel good which we a need when we are sick. I just need an alternative that works as well as Benadryl or I feel miserable!
