The majority of my family members were either on welfare, GI, or just making their money doing odds and ends. So when I graduated from High school, my mindset was, "I need to have a baby so I can get some money." No one in my immediate family graduated from high school, nor was going to college a discussion in my family. When I got a job working as a TA at a preschool, I did so well with the kids that the parents wanted their children to be in my class, so the director encouraged me to go to college so that I could have enough credits to start teaching, and that was all she wrote. That changed the trajectory of my entire life. I taught myself a lot of things (by reading a lot of books) and now people tend to come to me for information in many areas of life.

Here we go, another person bragging about their pastor.. But, life changed drastically for me. When my mommy passed away in December 2019, I was searching for a video to watch on death and trauma. I'm addicted to Meth, cigarettes, and pornagrafy. I believe I can quit cigarettes and porn if I can only quit Meth first. I feel if I dont quit meth first I cant quit the other two. I am one of those "in the closet" drug addicts of meth so I do my best to not to expose it so not to be labeled as what I am. I might not full everybody but the majority of people think I have things together. I do t. try to appear as if im as clean and normal as any one else. I struggle to break free from this. I believe I want to accept Jesus in my life. I feel tired of living this way. I know I have many issues in my life that have are because of my addictions and I can not repair the. If I keep using drugs. I want to change my life and serve God . I keep asking God to please release me of these addiction of meth so I can also receive his Holly spirit again in my heart. I feel blocked off from the Holly spirit as long as I keeping in sin. Its so hard to break my addiction of meth without going through a detox time period of not being able to get up from from bed and emotional distres alo g with other horrible side afcecf⁷I've asked God to help me quit using drugs.just by me asking him for his miracle to help me quit, but it will take more than just asking God for his miracle. I think I need help but I do t know what my next step should be. I could possible attempt detox period on my own or in a treatment t center but my source of income will not allow me to take time away from working as everything takes money. And if

I agree with you regarding stopping the meth addiction first...well actually for me it was stopping the addiction AFTER my belief in Father. Once I had that connection everything else fell into place. It didn't happen like I thought it would. I guess I thought that after praying that I would wake up one morning with no desire for alcohol, but no my addiction seemed to get worse, but what I realized is that (for me) things getting worse meant that I couldn't hide it and deny it anymore and it caused me to actively seek sobriety by any means necessary. Towards the end I was drinking and not even receiving any pleasure from it and only the negative consequences from it. At some point I realized that that was Our Father answering my prayer. My prayer and heart goes out to you...but more importantly Our Father is listening to you and Loves you and desires to answer your prayer and the devil is trying to bring doubt...so just laugh at him especially when things look crazier! Great enlightening message! However, all transfers don’t emit from family, but associations including friends and colleagues. It can come from whoever we lend our ears and eyes to. Satan uses friends, social media, colleagues too, to speak und weave ungodly thoughts into a weak and uninformed mind. And Dr. Evans is so on point, we need the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome and override sinful and self destructive behavior and thoughts. Mr Evans, this is a good lesson. I just wish that you would have given the scriptures and having people read along with you so that we can go back and read after the sermon. So many ministers will refer to the scriptures and say something like "and we all know what happened in Acts..." it assumes that everyone has read and/or understands the scriptures. Please get people back to open up Yah's Word and actually taking time for people to turn to the scripture and expound on the scripture as it relates to the topic. Then We can leave church and refer to the scriptures Yah's Word instead of needing a church service to insp>re us. Peace
