I use these Ki stuns so little... and that’s ONLY when the person I’m fighting is the one that initiates with ki cancelling. It really shouldn’t be a thing considering that certain things SHOULD be punishable. It isn’t right for you to get out of your own mistakes with a ki cancel.

In my opinion, if you're so reliant on Ki Blast Stuns/Cancels that you have to use them against a Female Saiyan, you really need to either stop playing the game, or actually learn how to play it without training wheels.

If Ki Blast Cancelling would cost some Ki to do, it'd be somewhat fair (at least, in my opinion) - that aside though, I prefer the other cancels (step, Guard, etc) over Ki Blast Cancels because any counter can wreck those Ki Blast Cancels if done well enough. Plus, if someone cancels too slowly, you can still punish it. However, in the hands of someone good... yeah, it's definitely a powerful tool. Mad props to anyone that doesn't use them, including you, Steedoj. Actually trying to tone down my Ki Blast cancels as much as I can just to see how far I can push my limits, not to mention it teaches people to actually be more careful with attacking wildly.

On the note of launching ki blasts. I have actually noticed that I don't use Ki Cancels (not ki stuns) as much as I use to. But I still have the same win/loss rate as I use to, so I think I had actually gotten better at the game. My win/loss rate on most of my cacs: Male Saiyan is 62%, Female Saiyans is 43%, Male Earthlings is 78% ( way too easy to use), and the rest is just around 50%

Hmm, I have a problem with key stunning, however key cancelling is something I don’t necessarily see as broken or unfair. If we’re comparing it to other fighting games it reminds me of option selects (buffering a special move so if a punishable block string is blocked, it will cancel into a safe special or in some cases a different string will come out but on hit the unsafe string will come out.) It’s definitely annoying, but Due to the fact every character can do it I find it acceptable. If we’re talking about xy’s with male saiyans/earthlings then I would agree. Also in a game like this, if you look at vegito blue or teen Gohan (characters that do a long string of punches) I feel like ki cancelling is fair game.

Just a suggestion but can you do a Dokkan Boss battle type of video. The idea is that you play as one of the bosses. When ever you win you change into their next form. Example: The Ultra Instinct event -God Goku to Blue -Blue to Base (Spirit Bomb needed) -Base to UI (there’s no omen so just MUI) Doesn’t matter which event you pick though

Ki Cancelling is "fair" only in 2 situations: 1. To cancel out of a combo because you're not gonna stun the opponent since he's behind you (PAUSE) unless we're talking about Hit 2. To TRY and stop a timid player who is vanishing until time runs out. To use it before anything, giving it more priority than trying to land a clean punch is cheap. 12:32 #WakandaForever

I think the only time ki cancelling online is fair is: 1. What you mentioned; On characters and CaC builds that are generally slower. 2. Used against obvious cheap/cheese builds. and/or 3. only when extending a combo after a fair, successful stamina break.

'll be the one to try and defend a tactic. in a fighting game like this cancels sometimes are necessary, so when you're stuck in a combo and using a cancel to stop doing a combo is fine, BUT! spamming it for the I-frames is unnecessary, and makes you look stupid in battle. I might be called out for being a scrub for using cancels or stuns tactfully, but in the end those can help when your not using an OP build in this games ranked.

I think to fix some of the issues would be Perfect blocks can’t be done out of a dash, or, dashing doesn’t have I-frames. Ki canceling doesn’t give I-frames either, or just make it so there is a buffer between shooting a Ki blast and doing a basic attack. Maybe have some races who are fast just can’t Ki cancel? I’m pretty casual at the PvP in this game so, I have issues when thinking of how to give improvements over to this game lmao.

I think what they should do is this , remove ki cancelling , make it so knock down combos enable most follow ups , but if vanished , you’re wide open , whereas knock always have much less follow ups , but can be cancelled into a back hit

Have you seen that new cheese were people boost Dash and use the extra input to get behind you and as soon as they hit you they go in to power pole combo that you can't vanish or get out of even if you dodge it with a steppe vanish or step Dash that power pole combo just has enough range to trap you in another combo

On one end ki stuns help fight against cheap players and ki cancels help by allowing you to move right after your combo misses or to do infinites On the other hand ki stunning can be used to stun your character and make you waste your stamina and it’s annoying to deal with when the opponent absuses it. As for ki canceling again someone can abuse this mechanic as well It’s hard to decide which one is good or bad my answer is it depends on the player who uses these mechanics

Okay this is the only time you'll find me defending Ki stunning I think you should only use it to avoid back hits, back hits in this game are so inconsistent and it's literally a huge risk to try to perfect block it . Especially when you're trying to avoid characters /CAC with long range back & fast hits like your namekian, male saiyans Majins, and male earthling. Or your characters with super armor back hits like Gogeta, UI Goku, and Jiren

Well, I kinda swing both ways when it comes to ki stun. On one hand, I like it because it's pretty handy for punishing TIMID/overly defensive players, but on the other hand, it's really not all that fun to fight some one who refuses to attack unless you're ki stunned. In other news, sheesh, I think the real reason people keep using these cheap tactics is because everyone's so excessively hostile that they just want everyone else to suffer.

I can somewhat understand canceling. Naive people who think they have an opening, really don’t. However it’s really annoying when people spam it the whole time and gets really tedious. Not to mention when you finally land a “hit” the lags says fuck you and they still dash away and kick you in your throat. Ki stunning is very stupid. I think ki blast adds speed and a spectacular dimension to the fight, it forces both players To be even more reactiv and not just to give up and wait for the consequences of a bad move because ki blast cancel enables you to fix a mistake if you are fast enough

I think i said this in an earlier video about ki cancelling but the problem is what you can do after firing one. You shouldnt be alllwed to step after a ki blast. In older games, the only thing you were allowed to do was attack and even back then it wasnt as busted

I've never had an issue with ki canceling. No one's ever used it against in a way where I thought it was unfair. I use it to extend combos and confuse or throw off my opponent personally. It's kinda like a jab in boxing or a faint. Keeps your opponent on their toes. So to me it's fair but I'm a rare kind of person who believes nothing is unfair bcus I should be able to get out of it or get around it, if I'm truly good at the game.

This is my opinions that thinking there is no an exactly way to play the game. I am one of the fans on this game.I think spamming ki blast is not very bad because it depends on how you use it well or not. You can also think that ki blast is an aid for players who are not very good at footwork. Actually, I think it's not cheat although I used to use it before but at the same time, I know how to defeat this kind of tactic. Facing the ki blast tactic players can also train your reaction ability. I know that ki blast will help you easier to catch others and make you can't be caught easier.However, It's also a good practice and challenge for you to know how to defeat it and avoid the ki stun. Finally, I know that there are too many cheat in the game but it is just a game. I know that's why people don't like xenoverse 2. In fact I don't like cheat too but i still playing the game.It's because i have an aim to become the strongest player in the game. Therefore, I am trying to defeat all the players including spammers, cheat-players and players who play seriously. I know that many people think spammers and cheat-players are so annoying but it's just a game and you are able to defeat them. There is one thing that i agree with Steedoj, Spamming and cheating will not improve your skill because you're only stop at the point that using the same moves for too many time. *I don't understand that why people(some of players) always say that you are cheating. But actually they are just don't believe that they lost .* There is a news for you guys also. It's the networking problem will be deal with.
