My little dog, a rescue, thought all cookie tins had cookies in them. He was quite disappointed with mine. All full of sewing supplies, embroidery floss, and ends of yarn or crochet cottons. His face showed his unhappiness. Then I had to get him a tidbit. Loved that dog!

Great idea. Just threw out two of those tins. Shall retrieve them and do something with them. I had actually thought about doing just painting them. The crafting video gives me the inclination to create something cute too.

The bottom is flat, so when inverted it adds height to any background plant in my tiny porch garden...also it's useful for temporary vases to support overhanging leaves from my plants outside until I can find the proper ceramic vase for each. By that time it might be slightly rusty, so it'd be thrown away 😭😘and the next new tin will be saved for any other plants. Personally I avoid the rough linen decoration coz it's hard to keep off dusts. But u are an inspiration to others with your lovely craft! ❤

I took bling wrap and covered one of these tins. Very fancy looking. People making comments about it is a waste of time-this is what repurposing and crafting is! Some of the tins are ugly as is. He did a good job.

I never throw biscuit tins or any large tins..all very useful storing things I have an OXO TIN 1882..AFTER EIGHTS TIN 2002 large Quality Street 1995 So keep tins they are very very useful 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧

i would maybe do that if i had the supplies on hand; otherwise why would i go out and buy all that stuff in order to upcycle the tin? id just use the tin as is. i have one full of sewing supplies i keep in my storage ottoman. with that said tho, the end product is pretty and useful and you did a nice job with it!

My grandmother had tons of these cookie tins she stored every thing from old scrap yarn to sewing needles to sewing patterns once when we visited her my little brother was heard screaming up stairs when went to find him he cried" THERE'S NO COOKIES!!!" He was surrounded by ten different tins that had sewing patterns in them he was about 4 at the time and probably thought he had hit the jackpot of cookies 😂😂😂.
