A lot of people think that the bible contradicts itself when they go on to read "James " , but I beleive that what this means in James when he stayes that faith without works is dead , is we are saved by grace UNTO GOOD WORK S , " AS A RESULT OF HAVING BEEN SAVED " we do good works BECAUSE we ARE saved , it is the RESULT of a change of heart that we want to do things pleasing to God .

Wow, thank God for brother Derek's teachings. Over 30 years ago my Bible study teacher would often quote from brother Derek Prince. I was too immature in Christ, to realize what I was being taught. Brother Prince, simplifies the gospel. He had a very good handle on theology. Praise be to God! Thank you for sharing these messages .

I got caught with the vanities of this world and I lost the presense of God, I prayed and couldn't feel him no more. Much has happened and its a long story but I was just praying to God and I was saying what I must do to be in his presence, what do I have to do, I will give whatever the lord asks me to. I was really sad and then this video pops up. And I think the lord is saying that theres nothing I can do to earn his grace or to earn being in his presence. We must try and do the will of the father and be right towards him but there's nothing that we can do to earn his presence. Its a free gift because of what Jesus did, theres nothing I have to do.

@@alphie10 I didn't spend time with the lord, or reading his word. I spend time in this world following the desires of my heart. I tell you what God taught me so you might no fall the same way I did. We need to spend time with God and in His word. Dont spend time in this world, doing vanities. Read revelation 3 what Jesus is saying to the church. They are dead because they have stopped talking with God they distanced themselves from God. Dont fall asleep like I did, pray constantly and seek the lord, dont fall in the trap of following this world or seeking this world. Anyway the lord convicted my heart and I didn't listen and one day I stopped feeling the holy ghost and I was so sad. Fast forward know many things have happened and the lord spoke to me and he showed me my mistakes and I have changed them, and I repented and he showed me how much he loves me by never giving up for me even when I didn't listen. But now I do and I try to do my best every day. So dont do what I did. The bible warns against this, its a big sin to ignore God and spend your time in this world. "The coming of the Son of Man can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. When he left home, he gave each of his slaves instructions about the work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. You, too, must keep watch! For you don't know when the master of the household will return - in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. Don't let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. So DONT SLEEP LIKE I DID. And remove all vanity from your life because its all vanity ,only Jesus matters. "Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: 8 Remove far from me vanity and lies" Proverbs 30:7-8

luv, where does Holy Scripture teach it is the final authority? Peter the rock and sole key holder, stood up and put an end to all the debating at the council in Jerusalem, since Scripture alone could not, as Peter authoritatively ruled circumcision of the Flesh was no longer necessary, even though Holy Scripture said that it was. The same Church authority that existed way before the new testament was even written and that later determined which of the over 75 letters written, were to be included in the new testament and which were not. Peace always in Jesus Christ our Great and Kind God and Savior, He whose Flesh is True food and Blood True drink

But yes, I absolutely believe that *God's word, the Holy Bible, IS the final authority.* You want to debate this fact but I do not. *“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”* *2 Timothy 3:16* *"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple."* *Psalms 19:7* Are you a Catholic? Catholic ideology is NOT what I follow. I read, study, and follow the Holy Bible and fellowship with others who are Believers. Have a nice day.

I dont think its a matter of faith being greater...but faith HAS to PROCEED works otherwise we fall into the mindset of being self-righteous. Remember that the bible is very clear that faith WITHOUT works is dead. I think the only priority that faith should be given is chronological. Faith and works, once faith has been demonstrated and understood, walk hand in hand, bolstering and supporting each other. If any person is feeling as though their faith is on the wane and feeling dull etc, open your door and go outside and find a person in need and tell them about Jesus. Tell them in words, or tell them in silence by simply helping them without them even knowing it and i assure you that your faith will increase. If im mistaken here someone please clarify for me because I dont want to lead anyone astray by what ive written.

Never heard of backsliding? You believe in a subtle and deceitful version of Works salvation. Was Solomon saved when he made altars to other gods and allowed sacrifices? Or when David has Uria murdered?

All his righteous deeds which he has done _*_will not be remembered_*_ for his treachery which he has committed and his sin which he has committed; for them he will die_ " Ezekiel 18:24 Bolding is mine, you cannot explain these verses out or you are twisting the word of God. David: " _“But if the wicked person turns from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall certainly live; he shall not die. 22 All his offenses which he has committed will not be remembered against him; because of his righteousness which he has practiced, he will live_ " Ezekiel 18:21-22 (NASB) God bless you may the Lord show you the truth, He will if we ask in right kind of humility.🙌

How does one repent of sins when we aren't aware of sins until the Holy Spirit convicts our heart? I have known a lady for 9 years, who is an unbeliever; when I witness about Jesus and tell her she is a sinner on the broad path to hell, she insists that she is a "decent person." She claims to be decent because she is not aware of her sins; nobody is aware of their sin until their heart is convicted by the Holy Spirit. So how does one repent of "all" sin before salvation if they don't even know all of their sin? Furthermore, how does one repent of all sin if we are in the flesh and sin everyday? If you lie today and repent of it, then lie again tomorrow or next week (which all believers do because we are not perfect), then you have not repented. You are just deceiving yourself. You are a hypocrite. A modern day pharisee. You burden other people and tell them to stop committing sins and repent of all their sins when you commit the same sins everyday. You repent today, then commit the same sin; repent the next day and repeat the same sin. How is that repentance? There’s no such thing as a believer who doesn’t sin. In fact, the Bible defines a _“righteous man”_ as one who sins repeatedly; he falls seven times, but keeps getting back up to live for God (Proverbs 24:16). Believers, at best, are horrible sinners trying to live right, falling and getting up, repeatedly, until the Lord returns or takes us home to glory (Romans 7:15-24). All believers sin every day. No one is righteous because they are sinless, we are righteous *ONLY* by placing 100% of our faith in the perfect, sinless blood of Jesus. Herein lies the folly of repenting from all sins: _"A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough" (Gala. 5:9)._ The leaven means the law and the dough means the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus. A _little_ bit of law *CANNOT* be mixed with grace because if you seek to be *JUSTIFIED* by the law, then you have *NULLIFIED* grace and Christ died needlessly for you (Gala 2:21). You *CANNOT* place 99% of your faith in the blood of Jesus to wash away some sins and then the remaining 1% in your daily repentance to wash away the rest of your sins. You are either 100% with Christ or against Him. Those who don't gather with Him scatter. You can't serve two masters. It's black or white; no gray areas of neutrality. You either _live_ according to the law and _die,_ trying to fulfill the *ENTIRE* 613 laws *OR* _live_ by _grace_ through _faith_ in Christ *ALONE* and have _eternal life._ You, who is trying to be perfected by the law, should know that you *MUST* keep all 613 of the commandments, if you want to live under the law. If you _"break one law, you break them all" (James __2:10__)_ and the wages of your sin is death. There is no "big" or "little" sin, they are all equal; so when you lie, you also commit adultery, murder, idolatry, and everything else too. Rather than "repenting" of only that single lie, you must "repent" of the other 612 commandments which you've also broken. Also, repenting and simply "apologising" is not enough because _"without shedding of _*_BLOOD_*_ there is _*_NO FORGIVENESS"_*_ (Hebrews __9:22__)._ If you reject the blood of Christ as the *ONLY* way to be saved, you *MUST* begin sacrificing animals *EVERYTIME YOU SIN,* which God is going to *REJECT* because He has already sacrificed His *PERFECT* Son *FOR US.* Forgiveness is through Christ's blood *ONLY.* Do you see how foolish and futile your reasoning is? You strain out a little gnat, but swallow an enormous camel; you like to repent of 1 sin, but don't want to repent of *ALL* the other 612 commandments which you've also broken. If you want to live under the law, you must perfectly keep all 613 commandments, which no one but Christ ever will. You are just living a life of hypocrisy. The law was a schoolmaster, supposed to lead you to the recognition that you are a sinner and will never be perfect (Gala. 3:24). It was supposed to increase your transgression so that God's grace may abound even more in you (Gala. 3:19; Romans 5:20). It was supposed to show you that your *ONLY* way to heaven is through the perfect, sinless, shed blood of Jesus Christ for your sins. Instead, you are seeking to be justified by it and on route to Matt. 7:23; where Jesus will tell you to depart from Him because He doesn't know you, when you stand before Him in your filthy garment of self-righteousness. Repentance is translated from the Greek word _"Metanoia." Metanoia_ translated to English means _"to change one's mind."_ The moment that you believed the Gospel of salvation, you *REPENTED;* you changed your mind from unbelief of Christ to *BELIEF* in Christ. You have *REPENTED,* which is why you are now born-again. We come to God by *BELIEVING* what *HE ALONE DID* on that cross for *US;* we don't come to Him by recounting our worthless, dead works which we did in His name. He will simply tell you _"I never knew you"_ because you didn't rest fully on what *HE* did. *HE* did it all so *HE* gets *ALL* the glory. God bless you.

Yes, we are saved by faith not by our works but after getting saved our works are a proof whether we have received the gift of the Holy Spirit or not. Those who belong to God fear to sin or do not sin and they work out their salvation with fear and trembling. 1 Thessalonians4 1 Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; 2 for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; 6 that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. 7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. 8 Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.🙏💐❤️

@@valkeudenlapsi Hi Thank you very much for this message. I watched the two videos. I am shocked to learn about the Luther's message and his neglect of the book of James. Actually book of James brings to light all the hypocrisy in the church. I myself found it hard to judge my conduct based on the book of James and it is always a bitter pill to swallow but nevertheless it makes us perfect. It is never good to neglect this book. Also, I am really sad that many preachers have distorted the Word of God so much so that I sometimes wonder if there is any meaning behind maintaining our holiness and to follow the commandments of the Lord in terms of not lying or stealing etc. I can rarely see a Christian who does not want to sin or who can encourage us to be holy and become an overcomer of sin where as the book of Revelation tells us to become overcomers..!! Anyway, I believe I am able to walk only with the help of the Holy Spirit in this troubled world filled with lies, deceit and false preachers..!! By the way Derek is good but somehow I do not like this message on faith and works..!! Finally, we always need the grace of God to overcome sin and like Peter we could walk on the waters by taking hold of His hand we always need to take hold of His helping hand to walk on the waters of this world..!! From Peter we can learn the Grace of God and from John the Love of God and from James the Perfection of Christ and from Paul everything I guess..!! 😄 Of course Jesus is the complete Man and God..!! Thank you and God Bless..!!🙏💐❤️

Well we know this, this is the baby language of the gospel. The issue this can bring in a short clip is that people begin to think of repentance as a work when it’s a necessity. There is no forgiveness without repentance, therefore there is no salvation without repentance. Repentance is stopping the deliberate sin your in and living to how the scriptures say you should not how you think you should. I have talked to many people who believe that when you tell them they are living in sin they say either I am being religious, or it is a work-based ideal. As Jesus said, go out and tell the people to repent and be baptised. Also in the gospel of John 14:21 Jesus himself tells us his definition of what love is towards him and if you want him to manifest himself to us. 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”

I’ve been reading my Bible more and more and John 14-16 was one portion that changed my thinking around the love of God. We’ve grown up being told that God’s love is unconditional, but I couldn’t find that anywhere in the Bible. In the other hand, Jesus seemed to suggest it’s actually conditional, and that is consistent. In the other hand, God’s love only seems to be experienced by believers, and unbelievers only seem to be able to get mercy from Him, but not love, according to the scriptures.

@@arthurmagoola7808 Yes true. You'll notice that every promise in the old and the new testament has a condition we must meet. For example in Romans 8:1 "1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, (but here is the condition) who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. There are 100's of others such as "You shall be the Head and not the tail" But the condition is "If you follow all my laws and statues ". Even to receive salvation we must repent and be baptised. Not one or the other but both.

Thanks for this Nicholas. You’ve highlighted something that’s become increasingly pertinent to me. I used to read Romans 8:1 as “There is therefore more no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” until, last week, I bothered to read the entire verse “who live not according to the flesh but after the Spirit”. I realised then that there’s a false Christianity that can creep in where we base our relationship with God and Jesus on verses that were have read or understood only in part, and I’m afraid that is more and more prevalent now. I’m increasingly taking the approach of reading the Bible as is ie: God isn’t in the habit of misplacing words, and the Bible calls itself the Word of God, therefore if he had a condition over something, I have to understand the condition and respond to it by faith. Incidentally the first person I ever heard say that (after I’d taken this stance) was Derek Prince.

And I thought that Satan.believes those three things about Christ?! This lecture is beyond simplistic. Any follower of Christ must do his DUTY - and that is to emulate the ways of Christ’s righteousness… And He was full of good works. Walk the walk, dude. This is precisely what Paul meant overall. Faith is the key - but you must open the door and DO THE RIGHT THING.

Genuine question here. Derek Prince also said in one of his sermons, (quote) "who will be saved? Those who do the will of God" If we have to do the will of God to be saved, aren't we earning our salvation?

Please pray for me. I keep putting my faith in my works. I know Jesus died for me. I know everything in the Bible is true. I can’t understand why I keep wanting to work for it? It is really upsetting to me because I know that the Lord can take my life if he’d like. I really want to be genuinely saved and to serve God. What can I do to stop putting my faith into works?

Hello! How are you? I was struggling with this ALOT & for years!!! What helped me was prayer of course, but fasting and rebuking off the spirit of religion, legalism and self righteousness. Declaring by faith what scripture says. Read Romans hun. That helped me out a lot. And Hebrews. Also I watched Dan Mohler sermons and he is so passionate about Gods love and being his child. His sermons helped me understand who I was in Christ and stopping working for his grace, to just accept it. I recommend to watch him :) And just keep pressing. Don’t give up. When you feel like you can’t overcome, cry out to him. And be raw with him. He doesn’t condemn you because you struggle with this. He loves you. He will and is helping you. God is for us! Be aware of thoughts as well helped me. I Pray for more discernment and strength to fix my thoughts and to have a renewed mind in Christ. To help me to see myself the way he does and to fully accept his grace. To be in intimacy with him and to know him more for who he truly is. I pray that God helps you overcome this battle. You’re not alone and you WILL overcome with the grace of God! You are his!

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. Amen none of us can earn it at all and we didn't do anything to deserve His Grace or favour at all to tell the truth about it.

You may also read the "Present with Religion", a short text for free on the Global Truth Project.The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus towards the glory.The book explains what Jesus and other prophets of the past were really saying and the core message is for us to repent now of all our sins and conform to the natute of Jesus 100%. Only then will God be able to save us! If you just believe in Jesus but you dont live by His law 100%, you are deceived and will not be saved! We have to be committed 100% to Jesus and stay on this narrow path to the end in order to be saved.

So it is our faith in God that translates to His Holy Spirit working in us right? So when the scriptures say, "you shall know them by their fruits - Matthew 7:16-20" does that mean if one is to produce corrupt fruit or no fruit at all, that what James said, "faith without works is dead" is due to lack of or no true faith in God? And Paul is focusing on the faith aspect only because he knows once you have the faith, God can then produce His works through you? Want to ensure I understand properly

Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Jas 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Jas 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

@@tigerprayers2824 Ok so I have a couple questions, when Abraham took Isaac upon the Altar he was being obedient to God. As for Rahab she was pretty much helping them because she truly feared God and wanted her family, her life to be speared. Also when Jesus said that His meat was doing the will of the Father (being obedient to Him and doing what was required) would you say all these works were done out of respect and fear of God the Father? Or is it that I can of myself do good things (according to the word - feed the hungry and my enemies etc) and that would prove that my faith is alive through my works? Sorry if my questions seem ridiculous, I just want to ensure I understand. The last thing I want to do is step out of alignment and go off doing what I think He requires because i want my faith to be exercised.

Also consider: 1Pe 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently. May the Spirit of God continue to guide you into all truth.

I agree that salvation is by grace, through faith and not of works. We cannot earn salvation- God owes us nothing. Amen to that. I also believe that repentance is evidence of our salvation- if we love God, we keep His commandments. If the Holy Spirit dwells in us, we will endeavour to do what is right. There is a consistent call to depart from iniquity and a warning that if we fail to do so, we will not enter God's Kingdom. What do you make of the following verses? "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock" Matthew 7:21-24. "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Are there are many more verses along these lines, calling us to repent and depart from sin- it's an essential part of the gospel. Even Jesus, having forgiven and healed said "sin no more" (John 5:14, 8:11 etc). We are saved by grace through faith and not of works- true- but works are evidence of salvation, faith without works is dead (James 2) and we are to walk in good works (Ephesians 2:10). To abide in the love of Christ we must keep His commandments (John 15). If we are in Christ we will endeavour to depart from sin- by the power of the Holy Spirit and to God's glory in Christ Jesus, we can and must repent of our sins. It is The Lord who works in us but we must acknowledge our need to repent or we make Him a liar (1 John 1:10). Scripture seems to be clear, if we refuse to turn from sin, we will have our part in the lake of fire- the second, eternal death. May God guide us in knowledge of His will and in Spiritual understanding. In Jesus' name, Amen.

_What you have posted seems very good. However you include this;_ *"We cannot earn salvation- God owes us nothing..."* _This statement seems to be double talk, _*_for Jesus' teachings make it clear that their is a requirement of behavior for one to get ones sins forgiven._* _To keep one's part in a covenant agreement is not earning. Keeping God's commandments defines who one is. Using wording as "earn" and "owes" is not terminology used in the bible concerning what is required for one to obtain eternal life. Such terms seem to distract and divert ones perspective of what is taught by Jesus' sayings, teachings and instructions._ _Jesus' terminology seems to be "enter into" life._ _Example: The terminology of "free gift" is not from Jesus' sayings, teachings and instructions, but come later after Jesus._ _This term "free gift" also distracts and diverts away from Jesus' teachings._ _But on the other hand your posted comment;_ *"We cannot earn salvation- God owes us nothing..."* _may indeed imply that we owe God something and what is required by us is not to be viewed as earning something from God._ Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is *the whole duty of man.*

I feel like we're maybe at odds in places but that may just be because I'm not getting what you're saying. Sorry if that is the case. I'll try to go over everything you said... I don't think there is a requirement of behaviour to have sins forgiven, beyond to confess, repent and trust in Jesus Christ. This is not a requirement of behaviour but of faith- we must believe and confess (Romans 10: 9-10, Hebrews 11:6). The behaviour comes as a by-product of faith- it is God's work, not ours. It is the fruit that we bear when we abide in Christ (John 15). We are saved by grace through faith and not of works, so that no man can boast (Ephesians 2:9), but faith without works is dead. Romans 4 clarifies it very well in terms of God owing us anything: "Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness" So if we reckon our works as anything other than secondary to faith, then we make salvation a debt owed to us by God rather than His grace. Would you agree? I don't think the term "free gift" detracts from Jesus' teachings because it is written in The Bible and there is no contradiction between entering into life and the free gift of salvation- they are the same thing. Salvation is a free gift in that we did nothing to earn it. We have earned death through sin (Romans 6:23) but receive life through Jesus Christ. It is only His grace and love that enables us to enter into life (1 John 4:9 etc). Romans 5 clarifies the term "free gift" in several verses, equating it with grace and justification, which are salvation and lead to life. Not sure if I misinterpret what you're saying here but I don't think we ought to treat the epistles as any less than the gospels, since all scripture is given by the inspiration of God for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17). As Jesus spoke only what The Father told Him (John 8:38, 12:49-50), so too the apostles spoke only as the Holy Spirit told them (Matthew 10:20, John 14:26, 1 Corinthians 2:13, Ephesians 3:5 etc). Our obedience- our part in the keeping of the covenant, our duty- is only possible when we abide in Jesus Christ and are guided by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 19:25- 26, John 15 etc). It is a covenant of the Spirit and not of the letter (Romans 7:6, 2 Corinthians 3:6 etc). Salvation, life, good works and indeed every good/ perfect gift are from God (James 1:17). We enter life through submission to God (Romans 10:3, James 4:7 etc)- He does all the work. Indeed He has given us all things that pertain unto life (2 Peter 1:3) and owes us nothing but we owe Him literally everything. Sorry for rambling on. This is indeed a requirement.) _It does seem to be strange how many people are not aware that Jesus teaches a requirement of and for receiving forgiveness, this is especially strange when Jesus gave this instruction in this very well known prayer._ _How is it you, or I, or anyone else can miss such a requirement when it is clearly and simply stated as a follow up explanation to the prayer Jesus instructed us to follow the manner of?_ _It appears much confusion comes about when one overlooks Jesus' teachings in favor of Paul's “contrariwise” gospel._

@@KeepingWatch95 I agree of course, we must forgive people their trespasses to be forgiven. It is a requirement. And yet we are saved by grace and not of works so that no man can boast. These 2 seemingly oppositional verses are only reconciled when we take into account that all our works, including forgiveness and repentance, only come by abiding in Jesus Christ. Without Him, we can do nothing (John 15). It is His work, not ours.

Work in this sense is the work to earn salvation, which is not counted, according to Derek; the work one does through faith is the glorious work one does with the LORD in His Kingdom: this work is counted by GOD. Let us not confuse ourselves. 🌿

What would say are works done through faith? Do you mean works that the Spirit of God quickens you to complete? Or works you of your own volition do - according to your understanding of the scriptures?

The Holy Spirit leads us to do what He wants us to do. If we just listen to Him and obey we are good to go 😊 We could never ever earn salvation by any of our own works. Salvation was paid for by Yeshua on the cross.

If your actions do not conform with your faith to GOD and HIS teachings, it is like mocking GOD. Believing that Jesus came, preached, suffered and died for our sins, and was raised, but on the other hand your whole life does not support this, by being sinful and evil and act against HIS teachings and scriptures, not following HIS example, it is mockery to GOD and you will not get into HIS Kingdom of Heaven. We cannot earn the Kingdom of Heaven by our actions, and we certainly cannot demand from GOD to be "paid" for our good deeds, but if you do not prove to GOD that your faith is real and truthful through your actions, by simply saying that you believe is not enough. So what the BIBLE is saying is that we cannot earn the Kingdom of Heaven through our actions, but we should act as GOD has commanded us to do, we must obey HIS law, in order to prove our faith to HIM. Whether HE chooses to allow us into HIS Kingdom or not, it is up to HIM to decide, when our time comes. So do not get confused by the above thinking that if you commit adultery, if you steal, if you lie, if you murder, if you deceive, if you harm others in order to feed your ego or your best interest, that by simply saying that you believe in Jesus Christ you will be saved. When scribes and Pharisees came to John the Baptist at the Jordan river to be baptized, John said to them to go away and that he will not baptize them as they were a spawn of vipers and that being descendants of Abraham will not suffice, as GOD can make descendants of Abraham from rocks and stones, and that in order to avoid GOD's wrath and be saved, they needed to act and behave in such a way which fits those who truly repent. Jesus was very clear in the New Testament about this, that those who do not act according to the law of GOD, they will go to hell. Jesus said specifically: " Blessed are those who feel their self as being poor and little compared to GOD, because the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. Blessed are those who feel sad about their sins and the evil that rules the world, because those will be comforted by GOD HIMSELF. Blessed are those who treat others with humbleness and gentleness, because they will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are those who are hungry and thirsty so that HIS will is set upon the world, because GOD will grand their desire and wish. Blessed are those who treat others with mercy, because GOD will show mercy to them. Blessed are those who have a pure and clean heart, because those will see the face of GOD - (in order for someone to have a pure heart, one needs to act according to the law of GOD). Blessed are those who create peace upon people, because those will be named children of GOD. Blessed are those who are hunted, pushed aside , prosecuted, punished, because they preach and spread the word of GOD. Blessed are those who are mocked, hunted, and falsely accused because of me. You should feel glad, and rejoice, because you will be rewarded in excess. Such in a way, prophets were hunted, before you." Believing in Jesus, means applying HIS word and teachings into my life.

He is saying don't seek righteousness by saying "if I do this, this and this then I'll be righteous to God".. That is essentially what people tried to do in the Old Testament times and it doesn't count to God's glory if you can do it by yourself (people in fact failed to achieve it because of the error in the flesh). It's the faith we have in Jesus Christ that justifies us and as a result imputes righteousness to us... Just as Abraham believed God's promise then righteousness was then imputed to him. In other words when you have faith and hope in the Son it will purify you and then righteousness will be imputed to you.

@@deanf7450 when you have Faith in the Son then you are living by God's grace and you will naturally do the works THROUGH that faith. See how it works? The confusion comes because people see the statement faith without works is dead which is true but they forget that it's through the faith in the son that we naturally do the works because of God's grace working through us then eventually righteousness is imputed to us.

A serious question I'm trying to over come lust and other things in my life and it's hard at time. Because I. Trying to turn from sin and please God is this classed as trying to work my way to heaven. Or will Jesus take it all way from me. I know were ment to turn away hence repentance. Is that classed as work based salvation ? Any body please ?

The meaning of the word repentance is to change one's mind. When we reject the lie and believe in the truth we have repented. When we see what we have done is evil and want to do it no longer we have repented. We have changed our minds about the evil deeds we committed. This comes through Jesus Christ, he gives you the desire to deny what is evil. Now to be set free from sin is another piece of the puzzle. Repentance leads to salvation, (2nd corinthians 7:10) A man can say they repent a thousand times, but until they know the truth they will be held in bondage. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. The only way to be set free from lust is through understanding what Jesus Did for you, what it means for Him to be in you, and that you are one in Him. Even when you start to believe these things and confess them day by day you must be patient for the Lord will bring freedom in his timing. You cannot free yourself, and you cannot stop being a slave to sin until you know the truth. It's either a slave or free and when you are free you will know. The flesh with its passions and desires are crucified by faith in Jesus Christ, We were crucified with him and a man whose flesh is crucified no longer has the flesh influencing his life any longer. They don't live in the flesh but in the spirit. Only by faith in Jesus Christ can you live this way to walk in the freedom you desperately desire in order to do good works from the heart in every situation. I hope this has answered your question. It's God's work in us that saves us when we begin to trust in Him and His word. He purposes in us to will and to do for his good pleasure. If your works are through Jesus Christ by faith in Him you do well. If your works are truly through Him then you are no longer led by the flesh but by the spirit. If you still struggle with the flesh you still are dealing with sin and bondage. While you are bound to sin it is impossible to bear the fruit God desires us to bear. Keep seeking God in prayer and through his word. Even with a dysfunctional life, show mercy to others, and wait patiently until the Lord corrects your life. It is vital for you to find this freedom in Christ Jesus so that you can be confident of your salvation. It is part of God's will to lead his children to no longer live in the flesh for he who lives in the flesh shall die spiritually. When we were babes in Christ we were ignorant, and when we were ignorant we sinned, and when we sinned there was bondage. Once you become aware of your sin and wish to break free from it, the only solution is to abide in God's word until you are set free, to know and understand the truth. God is on your side to lead you to freedom. He loves you so much!

God wants us to be zealous for good works. Our whole life is supposed to be a good work through faith in Jesus Christ. Paul said, "it's no longer I who live but Christ lives in me". When we live by faith in Jesus Christ and His Spirit, he takes control when our faith is established through understanding. It will be hard while you are struggling with sin, God has called us to endure and have patience in the fiery trials. But when the grace of God is revealed to us, when we live our whole life through Jesus Christ, there is a joy inexpressable. Even if your whole life is dysfunctional, as it will be if you still are struggling with sin, endure the trials, until the Lord leads to the freedom that he already established for you on the cross. Our old man and body of sin was crucified with Jesus Christ, so now we live by the resurrection power of Jesus Christ at work in Us. Even though it happened at the cross, there is a moment where the Lord makes this a reality as long as you hold fast to this form of doctrine. Remember we don't sin less and less once Jesus Christ sets us free rather we are completely set free from it, the man who still continues to sin is held in bondage. it's either you are bound by sin or not. But thank God Jesus purposed it to set men free by abiding in his word. For this holds true for all who follow after Jesus Christ. There is sin and God does away with our sin by Faith in Jesus Christ through understanding.

If we don't have to keep the commandments, then why did Yeshua refer to the commandments as "necessary things" ? Yeshua Again Gives The Holy Humane Law After six days, when the Feast of Tabernacles was nigh at hand, Yeshua did take the Holy Twelve and did bring them up into a high mountain away from the people, and as he was praying, the fashion of his countenance was changed, and he was transfigured before them, and his face did shine as the sun, and his robe was white as the light. 
 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him and speaking of the Holy Law, and of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. 
 And Moses spake, saying, "This is HE of whom I foretold, saying, A prophet from the midst of thy brethren, like unto me shall the Eternal Spirit send unto you, and that which the Eternal Spirit speaketh unto him, shall he speak unto you, and unto him shall ye hearken, and whoso will not obey shall bring upon themselves their own self-willed destruction." 
 Then Peter said unto Yeshua, "Dear Lord, it is good for us to be here; if thou wilt let us make there three tabernacles - one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 
 But while he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and twelve rays as of the sun issued from the cloud, and a voice came out of the cloud, which said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him and keep his law." 
 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly astonished. And Yeshua came and touched them and said, "Arise and be not afraid." And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Yeshua only. And the six glories of the eternal spirit, the first of the holy Archangels, were seen upon him. 
 And Yeshua said unto them, "Behold, anew I give unto you, The Law, which is not new but from old. Even as Moses gave the law to Israel after the flesh, so also I give unto you the law for the Kingdom of Israel after the Spirit. 
 "For who are the Israel of God? Even they of every nation and tribe who work righteousness, love, mercy and keep my commandments, these are the true Israel of God." 
 And standing upon his feet, Yeshua spake, saying: 
 "Hear O Israel, the Eternal All, Thy God is One; Many are My overseers, and My prophets. In Me all live and move, and have subsistence. 
 "Ye shall love thy God with all your understanding of the Holy Law. 
 "Ye shall love thy neighbor as yourself, even as the law instructs. 
 "Ye shall not take away the life of any creature for your pleasure, nor for your profit, nor yet torment it. 
 "Ye shall not steal the goods of any, nor gather lands and riches to yourselves, beyond your need or use. 
 ''Ye shall not eat the flesh, nor drink the blood of any slaughtered creature, nor yet anything which bringeth disorder to your health or senses. 
 "Ye shall not make impure marriages, where love and health are not, nor yet corrupt yourselves, or any creature made pure by the Holy One. 
 "Ye shall not bear false witness against any, nor willfully deceive any by a lie to hurt them.

 "Ye shall worship One Eternal, the Father-Mother in Heaven, of Whom are all things, and reverence the Holy Name, keeping sacred Their daily holy communions.

 "Ye shall cherish and protect the weak, and those who are oppressed, and all creatures that suffer wrong.

 And Yeshua said unto them, "My yoke is equal and my burden light, if ye will to bear it; to you it will be easy. Lay no other burden on those that enter into the kingdom, but only these necessary things. 
 "This is the Law renewed unto the Israel of God, and the complete Law is within, for it is the law of love, and it is not new but old. Take heed that ye add nothing to this law, neither take anything from it. For verily I say unto you, they who believe and obey this law shall be saved, and they who know and obey it not, shall be lost. 
 "But as in Adam all die, so in Christ shall all be made alive. And the disobedient shall be given many tests, for they who persist in wickedness shall descend and shall perish eternally; but they who obey my Law will inherit everlasting life." 
 And as they came down from the mountain, Yeshua charged them, saying, "Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the sleep of death." 
 His disciples then asked him, saying, "Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?" And Yeshua answered and said unto them, "Elias truly shall first come and make ready all things. 
 "But I say unto you, that Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they lusted. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them." Then the disciples under stood that Yeshua spake unto them of John the Baptist. .
