Great Stuff once again - I had a file at work where Flash fill kept suggesting nonsense dont know why - I will dig it out and send it on if you want. Just random words from rows above, Never figured it out! Anyway another very useful video - I love the split numbers example.

As always, inspiratinal - thanks Use it a lot, but the tip about CTRL-E I did not know, will save me time and many mouse clicks In cases of telephone numbers though, I rather use custom formatting ####-#### (we have eight digits in in our telephone nr.)

The "Flash Fill" tutorial is timely: I started with Excel years ago and did a good enough job, but the newish features that save me having to work as hard to be clever are welcome. But why the T-Shirt saying "I simply spread sheets"?
