Now, 2023 Oct. Thumbtack from being with them for 6 successful years. Now forced to use instant booking. Back then leads were at leads up to $12. Now, instant bookings are $39 and up and customer must cancel within 15 minutes. After, there is no refund 🤷‍♂️. By the way my business is lawn service 😂. So is a $39 loss. I told them i rather buy $39 business cards comes 500-1000 cards and post them each door 🚪. Get leads for free 🤷‍♂️. I guess old school still does the job. Definitely going to do Google and Facebook.

I started thumbtact last week, and I already feel what you are saying. I guess I'll just cancel and start doing business cards too. Paying $39 trying to offer a great job and not getting it is just a waste of money...

I feel your pain with the instant book. When you have a business beyond thumbtack / leads from other sources, the instant-book thing is a joke.

I’m doing well on thumbtack in the last month I’ve paid them about $500 but made over $2k… but I def plan on using Google ads

Agreed, and Angi. So much wasted money. What do you think of marketing apps like field rocket? We started on it like 3 months ago and it seems to be working, leads that come through seem decent but we want to accelerate things even more. Want to get 5 more trucks on the road lol

Direct leads are charged instantly, and some clients don't respond to messages or phone calls. Time later, they show up, NOT HIRED client hire another PRO. Question: Does thumbtack refund lead money?
