We recommend using heavy duty microfiber mop heads. They are relatively expensive, but they are excellent for commercial cleaning!

I think Swiffer Wet mops are overrated! They are expensive and wasteful, and they leave a ton of residue.

So what "non-chemical" method should I use to kill mold in my shower or disinfect my toilet and surrounding area besides chlorine bleach? I feel that while your assessments and cautions are for the most part technically true, you certainly sensationalize the potential effects. You were citing the potential effects of long exposure to very high concentrations of the substances discussed, not the extreme low-level exposure for a very short period of time one would encounter in using these products. Regarding limoline, the Pine Sol company's web site does list that substance as an ingredient in Pine Sol. In fact, it contains nothing remotely related to a pine tree.

I think there's linoline in cannabis as a terpene. 😂

Great question Fred! if you noticed, we said chlorine bleach is a great "disinfecting agent" and not best for common cleaning. If the task at hand is killing mold or disinfecting a toilet we absolutely recommend a bleach solution! In our experience, people often use bleach for simple tasks that can be done with a much safer alternative, thus, potentially over exposing themselves to harmful chemicals. Thanks for stopping by!

Ammonia cuts dirt and evaporates fastest. Bleach is perfect for trash cans and trash carts that smell the worst. Or if you find a freezer that has been unplugged full of food for a year. Fabuloso has decent surfactants. Pine sol is a vapor hazard, like ammonia, but pine sol can clean paint brushes and cut didifficult dirt. The only maintenance cleaning product in this video is Fabuloso, which tends to work well for maintenance cleaning, but I prefer greenworks or krudcutter safer choice certified, or md Myers multi-surface.

Taking both the video and your comment into consideration. Building a cleaning platform and at least 1 in-house mini-franchise for it, otherwise trying to develop a knowledge base with cited sources for a research-based subdomain for it that would guide the other eventual mini-franchises of other “owners” So thanks for this btw

For me oil based stainless steel polish/cleaners are a waste of money. I can always tell the surfaces where stainless steel polish/cleaner is being used. Stainless steel should be one color. It shouldn't have different hues running thru it or a blotchy appearance. Yes the polish/cleaner spreads out the finger prints and stains so they are less noticeable. But now instead of just some isolated areas that are dirty, you have the entire surface smeared with dirty polish. Then not only do you have to remove the dirt from the stainless, but you have to also remove the stainless steel polish if you want the surface looking like it should. I can get better results with just using plain water. The key is to completely wet the surface down and than buff it completely dry. If plain water is not enough, use some dish soap or other surfactant and/or a melamine pad. If that's not enough use some bar keepers friend(the regular bar keeper's friend, not their oil based stainless steel cleaning product). The key is to remove all the residue from the stainless steel. Stainless polish/cleaner actually adds more residue to the stainless steel.

You're cleaning with them, not drinking them with your toast in the morning. Sounds to me like you have a problem with the brands, since half these points fall flat on their faces if you just read the container.

Hey smoothbrain! Thanks for stopping by. We make videos like these to share our perspective on certain cleaning products. There are great alternatives to the products we discussed that can be much safer and more effective over time. And no, we don't have a problem with these brands, Matt even states he uses Windex from time to time even though it isn't the best window cleaner on the market.

We used specialized commercial cleaning product from Waxie Sanitary Supply. These products come concentrated so we use their dilution station as well. Using a dilution station means consistent dilution and less waste overall.
