A bench vice and a good file are the real budget sharpeners

How much is a good vice?? And a file?? If it’s under $70 and you can keep that 30 degree angle everytime then yea you’re right. 💪🏼

Clamping in a large vise worked great for me. Very appreciative of adjustment section, I have not been able to move nut sleeve in arm yet.....leave a sliver on blade undone. Will tackle it harder now
@TheLawnFellas3 ай бұрын
Yes a vise will definitely work also!!

Forget mounting this on a level surface. Just reverse the angled piece and mount it in a bench vice. I actually dreamt that solution!

Suggestion to attach a board underneath to prevent the rocking. I 've attached mine to a board attaching that to a commercial garbage drum and roll it outside. Metal dust causes rust

Very good idea. My goal by this summer is to build a wooden work bench and put a metal shaving catcher up on the backside of it so I can magnet it all up. Seen a cool little hack for the magnet.

Great video. Do you prefer T27 (flat face) or T29 (angled face) flap discs? Thanks!
@TheLawnFellasАй бұрын
@@fiftyoon thanks for watching and the t29 is better and closer to the 30 degree angle that’s needed. But not sure if that matters or not. I use a 40 grit flap disc.

Nice job. I would just suggest one thing. Place a piece of plywood between the base of your mount plate and the toolbox. I noticed the jig moving. I figure it's the metal top of your toolbox flexing. I need to get one of those jigs.

You are definitely right I need to make it more stable. I am gonna be making a workbench out of wood to mount it to. The link to this sharpener is in my description check it out. 👍🏼

So @@TheLawnFellas you obviously don't get it! You saved some money by buying intellectual property stolen from an American company just as sure as if you walked into your local hardware store and walked out with the sharpener! Nice shot at justification by saying you also bought the real American-made and trademarked product! Why do you hate America? Maybe your "commercial" customers would be better off having some Chinese based lawn care outfit undercut your pricing by 2/3's!
