You had the CM28's noise cancellation feature turned on (Top blue light = connected, bottom blue light = noise cancellation). Maybe give the mic another shot.

I noticed that too. The built-in noise cancellation on the Neewer isn’t great (as with most mics with noise cancellation). The mic sounds much better with it off. I prefer doing noise cancellation in post.

2 blue lights mean Noise cancellation is on. This sadly removes more than just the background. Best to use it only in strong wind. But in your studio you dont need it. Sound will be much better.

just proves how amateurish that this so called tech channel (GearsAndTech) really are, they probably didnt even know what a wireless lavalier microphone was until they done this video .... its tech channels like this that make other tech channels look bad, and im surprised that any one subscibes or even takes this channel seriously

Just trying to be helpful here, and apologies in advance if I come across as a troll, but it took almost five and a half minutes in to the video before you actually started to talk about the Neewer CM28 mics. Maybe cut to the chase next time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i tried using a cheap $35 amazon dual lapel mic set. Cant handle the high pitch audio i stream sometimes. Just picked up the Neewer kit for $133 AUD. seen a few reviews. they seem just what i need.

I know people have mentionned it but you had noise cancelation on. If you are going to do tech reviews you might want to do your homework on the gear you are reviewing. The noise cancelation is complete ARSE on this and I would only ever use it in a live scenario where the artefacts are better than the background noise. For video I'll be editing later? I'd keep that off and do my normal post process workflow inside Repaer or DaVinci. The other thing to mention about these is that they only record 16bit so you have to be carefull with your levels. I'm still thinking of picvkinup a kit to supplement my older UHF kit.

Great point. I usually turn noise cancelation off. I couldn't figure out why I didn't have the range I heard in other reviews Sadly, the product was returned as I think I finally found the setup I want to continue using

almost bought but this video shows the audio sucks. I was on the fence between these and the more expensive DJI MIC2 - I guess you get what you pay for.

Lol, no. I honestly try to have interesting stuff around the background so if you get bored there is plenty other things to keep you interested!

ive got these myself and they sound nothing like what this video represents in terms of its audio quality. The neewer cm28 sound far far better than what yourve released on this video and you call this channel gearsandtech, AND what you have done in the editing in regards of the audio quality is nothing but distructive and very misleading to those that are in interested in something that is affordable when just starting off. The N/C feature on the CM28 arnt that great i admit but what N/C on any of these kinds of mics are ??? hence why most use there video editor software to cancel out the background noise, so perhaps relaying this vital bit of info along with your content would be a lot more help to others instead of making this good affordable mic system sound bad ?? In all honesty you all at gearsandtech should be ashamed of yourselves and in my opinion you should never be allowed to do a tech channel if you cant do an honest review .
