Get Together changed the way I played because of the club system. I used to just stay on my lot, never go anywhere, never have any friends, just me and family but now I do everything, go everywhere and I have friends!

Well, it is called "Get Together". This is most of the time what I do to, usually just play around the household and not go anywhere. Packs should have a lot of new game features and not just CAS/Build/Buy

In my opinion seasons, life and death, cats and dogs, high school life, toddlers and universities should all be base game!

This is how Ea should've done it Expansion packs $40 gamepack $20 Expansion packs Get to work + city living + for rent + get together = 1 expansion pack of 4 - city fun bundle Grow together + Parenthood + Uni + highschool = 1 expanion pack of 4 - family bundle Vampires + werewolves + magic + life & death = 1 expansion pack of 4 - supernatural bundle Strangerville + jungle + batuu + outdoor retreat = 1 expansion pack of 4 - vacation bundle Eco lifestyle + Cottage + Horse = 1 expansion pack of 3 - off the grid bundle Gamepacks Seasons + island + snowy escape = 1 gamepack of 3 - seasons bundle Get famous + dreamhome = 1 gamepack of 2 - fame bundle Lovestruck + wedding stories = 1 gamepack of 2 - lover bundle dineout + spay day = 1 game of 2 - business bundle Cats & dogs = should be a gamepack Total $300 I don't think any simmer would complain about the the value of the expansions if it was structured like this. For simplicities sake. All kits & stuff packs free for everyone... there are currently 38 kits & 20 stuff packs = 58 packs imho this is the stuff that should be free I just saved every simmer $810 if I was EA. I'll even sweeten the pot. Any simmer who bought the game day 1 before it went free to play Receives the Family bundle + seasons bundle for free. ^ just saved another $60 for simmers Total $240.

Shoutout to my older cousin who gave me The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection code and all her Sims 3 expansion packs when I was 11 years old. I don't know how I would have coped if The Sims 4 was my only option.

If I've said it once, I've said it a 100 times, Journey to Batuu should have been a separate spin-off game, like Sims Medieval was. They could have expanded on the concept more and they would have sold it better to star wars fans.

Honestly, I’m genuinely surprised that "For Rent" isn’t in the same category as "My Wedding Stories". The rental property system seems like such a great idea in theory, but in practice, it’s a complete mess. Bugs are everywhere, and save corruption is still a major issue; so severe that it can even affect multiple saves, including those unrelated to rental properties. For players who focus on live mode and storytelling, this pack is a literal nightmare!! You spend more time dealing with glitches or trying to work around problems than actually playing. Maybe it works better for builders or those who stick to short live mode sessions, but for everyone else, it’s just unnecessary stress. At its core, the pack just doesn’t work, and after nearly a year without real fixes, it’s hard to recommend it to anyone.

Obviously everyone is going to have different options. I don’t think you should have to pay for seasons but I’m also glad it’s not in the base game because seasons is annoying

Seasons should've been paired with island living + snowy escape as 1 expansion, but ya I agree seasons should be free as a basic feature. Unpopular opinion, I love Island Living and Snowy Escape. I pretty much play in Sulani all the time, I just feel like it makes me play a different way when I'm being a native islander, its not even about the mermaids. Before I had seasons, City Living, Snowy Escape, and Island Living were basically my change of pace from the base game suburbia. I basically Hate seasons. The weather is just so badly tuned, especially snow and rain, that it makes it hard to enjoy the various weather events. In general, yeah I think no new sims game (made by Maxis or otherwise) should not have weather in base game, but I find the actual seasons pack for Sims 4 annoying and skippable. I avoided buying it for quite awhile and City Living festivals were enough to have events to go to. I could also visit the beach in Island Living and visit Mt. Komerabi in Snowy Escape at my leisure and not have a planned day ruined by snow or rainstorms in my neighborhood. Seasons also makes gardening annoying. But I finally caved and got it when it was on a super discounted sale and honestly, I would have been fine not getting it. Don't own horse ranch, while I like having cats and dogs, its hard enough to control Sims randomly adopting cats & dogs. I just don't wanna deal with horse over-adopting and Cottage Living provides enough farming gameplay for me.

As someone who bought 95% of the dlc. Mainly because of build mode or cas items. Wouldn't recommend = don't buy Maybe = depends on what you like the build / buy & cas items you like (comes in handy depending on how you play, style, aesthetics) Must haves = good value I'm not a family simmer, but I do find value in those types of packs. Expansion packs Wouldn't recommend - for rent (the idea is great, but the money making is so slow... doesn't feel worth it) Maybe - snowy, island, cats & dogs, city living, My Must haves - life & death, love struck, uni, get famous, get together, eco & seasons Gamepacks - I wouldn't recommend - Dine out & battuu... I wouldn't buy unless you just want build mode items or costumes maybe - outdoor retreat Must haves - Most of them are good in terms of value gameplay, cas, build buy... etc.. Stuff packs - can't recommened - perfect patio, luxury party, toddler stuff Maybe - ^ anything, but these Must haves - Crystal, paranormal, tiny living, movie hangout, bowling night, fitness, home chef, Kits - Depends Cas - Fashion kits - All depends on what you like (my personal favorites are the goth galore, grunge revival, throwback, carnaval streetwear, simtimates) Clutter kits - not really my thing ^ Basically I recommend anything all of them if you like to build & buy. Alot of the kits fill in the gaps... for certain themes & go good with other expansion, game, & stuff packs. If I had to recommened kits it would be based on what packs you buy for expansions, game, & stuff packs Castles kit, goth galore, grunge revival, = vampires / werewolves / magic Oasis, riveria, decor to the max, blooming rooms, greenhouse haven, country kitchen = lovestruck / romantic or any of the off the grid lifestyle packs like eco-lifestyle, cottage, horse ranch, laundry day etc Desert luxe = spa day basement treasures + cozy kitch = great for vintage builds (I highly recommend these) party essentials = movie hangout + bowling night + backyard stuff little campers = outdoor retreat booknook + artist studio + pastel pop + cozy gamer kit = mainly for skill sims & aesthethics casanova + modern luxe = get famous + other vintage / luxury modern packs for classy / vintage / modern builds.

You forgot to add that some packs bring glitches and are lack luster. The vibe of a pack doesn’t make it worth it.

@@yippeefarts You CAN NOT buy the Ultimate Collection of Sims2 on disc. You'd have to "sail the 7 seas" to get it. If someone is claiming to be selling the ULTIMATE Collection, then it's a scam. I purchased all the individual Sims 1, 2 & 3 discs and followed the install instructions from 2 different youtubers. I had to install from discs through the laptops admin account though. I have all 3 games working on Windows 11 now. Sims2 was tricky to get working, but I'm so happy I did it.

I’m usually one to get ALL the packs but I REFUSE to get Bust the Dust cause I don’t like the sound of vacuums and the Simtimates Collection cause my sims don’t run around in their underwear. Had the vacuums had some other sounds to choose from like popcorn, crystals or whatever I may have gotten the pack.

I use the ranch pack and cottage farm pack most of all of them I like living off the land I can play for so long with those packs. I love farming simulators so it makes sense. I just think so there so much to do nectar is fun so is canning.

Love your approach! I used to have almost all DLCs until late 2023 when I change my pc and give my ea account to a friend, for me playing with all that was so overwhelming and 90% of the packs never used daily. Turns out I missed the game and started again (limited dlcs is the goal now). At the moment I only have lovestruck (I’m Brazilian, a Latin pack was essential for me) and want to get a new one, I’m between for rent or life and death. Any suggestions?
