Hopefully people see this. AKKO is not a good company to go through for tech protection. They have falsely denied my broken iPhone screen claim. And they have recently added extensive new requirements to continue coverage with no notification at all… no text, email or calls whatsoever. They are requiring deep access into your phone including constant location access which will absolutely destroy your battery life. My coverage was dropped for some time before I logged in and saw these new requirements. To make it worse, they have absolutely no guidance to what new photos I need to upload and have claimed that my laptop is not able to be found under my account now.

Asurion censored my 1-star review. They screwed up the display replacement, I wrote a review on Google and now it's not visible. Basically with any phone insurance company, you'll end up with a phone that's been damaged and then repaired. Better to just have a savings account and then pick out the phone that you want.

Akko will make you feel everything is covered while it’s not. Anything you add will get added and you’ll feel like they are protected but the truth is you most likely bought it 120 days before you got AKKO, therefore not covered

@@heliorevelo not necessarily, when I called them and asked if lost phones are covered they couldn’t give me a straight answer and basically insinuated to report it as stolen when filing a claim or to use the term “missing under mysterious circumstances”. My thought on it is if it’s not in the terms then they can deny your claim. Most phones are either damage or lost.

Yeah I wanna know about actual claim experience. The only thing I got from this was cheap and they'll fix before replacing and if they can't replace they'll give you the money too depending on ( certain criteria I would imagine they won't give you the money for a brand new replacement)

Doesn't cover warranty, depends on what they want you to do, take a picture of the damage and upload a quote of the repair shop, they will approve it usually within 24 hours. And pay you the amount minus the deductible

Yes- I have a Samung Fold 3. A pixel was blown in the inner screen. I paid the $599 up front. However I received my money back (minus the $99 deductible) via Paypal. I went to a nearby Asurion. I called a few days in advance and they ordered and installed a new inner screen two days later. The day I walked in, I went to the store for 3 hours then picked my phone up same day. So, in the end, I paid $99 to repair my phone. My warranty was up so because I purchased this plan a few days after purchasing my phone in 2021 it was my only course of action. I will point out, my outer screen was damaged on return by the technican. Thankfully I got in my car and spotted it before leaving. I brought it to the Ashurion technician's attention and they repaired it at no cost to me. I didn't have an all out negative experience with this company. I filed the claim with the app, an representative replied via email within hours. And I followed directions. What I don't care for is there is no offical number to call. You work with the 3rd party store you choose from the list and hopefully you get a good one. I got a good one. And it goes without saying… $99 is a lot of money. But nearly $600 in repairs without the plan was NEVER going to happen! All I can say is research the repair location you choose. Surely I definitely believe claims aren't honored, however that was not my experience. Just do two things: your homework on the repair shop you choose and finally be nice to the people at the repair shop. I guarantee you many go off half cocked and entitled and those repair people won't work to help you. I was extremely angry with the blips that happened repairing my screen and then the damage the repair guy did to the outer screen. It was hard, but I kept it cool. No part of my experience with Akko was perfect but I didn't get taken. I just did my research and took my time.

They do offer another insurance with tmobile, but yours wasn't purchased from them, hence why it said p360 bring your own device. They charge more because anyone can add it to any phone in any shape, no picture or receipts needed. Plus tmobile only charges the extra if the phone is lost or stolen(akko only covers lost if you pay for there annual plan), everything else is $99 deductible, plus iphones purchased through tmobile get apple care plus $29 screen repairs.Don't get me wrong, I like Akko but this is very misleading to consumers about not disclosing everything before they signup for an insurance plan
