Another great drill for this is to turn the club upside down and listen for the whosh on the target side of the ball. This promotes an external focus and limits the degree of hand tension in "holding the angle". Listen for the whosh on the target side of the ball. Feeling the clubhead weight on the bottom hand forefinger and maintaining the feel of the pressue is an advanced way to get this done but is harder for beginners. Manual de la Torre was big on swinging the entire club down with the arms rather than just the head....lots of ways to feel this.
