WHY DON'T THEY LEAVE TICKETS ON PARKED CARS IN RUSSIA? In Toronto you have to renew your license plates yearly/biyearly. If you have unpaid tickets you can't renew it. That would easily fix this problem and make the country a ton of money. Quick fix.

@@diogeneskoolaid8437 They won't install poles since ambulances and cops actually do use sidewalks in emergency cases during traffic, and that is pretty much why they are so large and well paved, it would simply slow drastically these services if they had to remove each and every pole

@@RonaiHenrik - 5000 isn't that low, they just don't enforce it enough, clearly... Not sure you would want to get a 5000r fine every day... It's not too far off a parking fine in the UK... I wouldn't want to be hit with that too often. And I imagine they pay a lot more when the car is towed... I don't understand why the city doesn't just enforce the law and rake in all that revenue, doesn't seem to make sense.

They should have a police officer with this group. SADB would stop someone driving on the sidewalk, and the cop could write them a ticket. The best solution would be to put posts in the ground so cars could not drive on the sidewalk.

In the US there would be Ballards (steel poles) blocking the sidewalk. With only enough room for pedestrians and bicycles to pass through. They aren't very expensive to install.

Michael Mccarthy, bollards cannot be installed. Like these putzes who illegally avoid heavy traffic, emergency vehicles are legally allowed to use the sidewalks with sirens and lights on.

@@michaelmccarthy4615 in most countries the emergency services are allowed to take the sidewalk if necessary too. In these old cities roads are usually narrow and overcrowded, so it might be the best option / least worst solution.

@Random Moura interesting. In the US, about the only time you would see an emergency vehicle on the sidewalk would be if they were chasing someone maybe. And that is pretty rare. Today vehicles have a harder time going anywhere they aren't supposed to be.

Anybody who reads the Russian traffic code will understand what is a Russian sidewalk. These drivers are either too ignorant or too belligerent to drive properly according to the traffic code.

Heck, they do that there, literally. One episode these guys did there was a street that's supposed to go in both directions, but because so many illegally parked for years everyone thought it was a one way road. They will drive and park wherever, and then threaten who ever even if they are the ones in the wrong.

In my personal experience with Russian cops, they were perverts, child molesters, and criminals in disguise. That was very long time ago when I was a child. I since grew up in US and realized that cops here are mostly useless (from personal experience). That said, every country has good people and good cops. In this video someone has shown to be useful as a cop. That was the point of my comment.
