Looking at the water bodies, are we okay as people, black is white and white is black. While developed countries are innovating and doing all they can to create an enabling environment and make life better for their people. Look at what we are wasting our resources on. I feel very SAD as a Ghanaian. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

You can't describe this protest a peaceful one. The demonstration wasn't against Police so why will they voilate your rights to protest. It turned into riot so they did what it was supposed to be done. Good job to the Ghana police service

So NDC does not have any credible news to preach and to campaign for the Republic of Ghana? Why won't you geared your energy toward what you have for Ghana instead of protesting against Galamsey only 😂? Is Galamsey the only problem Ghanaians are facing? Dramani Mahama it mean you are not a qualified leader because your entourage are all involved in Galamsey 😂😂😂

Joy news is the most shameful and unprofessional media house in Ghana. Joynews and its all😂support lawlessness in Ghana. If these guys are really want to stop galamsay, they have to go to the galamsay sites not the streets of Accra. Govt is not suppressing anyone. The police has the duty to main peace, protect life and property in the country. It's a big shame to Joynews.

I understand your concerns, and it's important to express different viewpoints respectfully. However, media like Joy News plays a crucial role in bringing attention to national issues, including illegal mining (galamsey) and its devastating effects on our environment. While it might seem like protests in Accra are misplaced, such actions aim to raise public awareness and pressure decision-makers to take action where it's most needed. Regarding the police, their duty to maintain peace and protect property is important, but it's also critical that we allow room for peaceful protest, which is a fundamental right in a democracy. Everyone has a role to play in addressing the challenges our country faces, including the media, the government, and the people. Constructive dialogue and collaboration will be key to moving forward and finding solutions to these pressing issues.
