The story of the Uskoks is simply inaccurate. The Uskoks never fought for Venice, They were Habsburg subjects. In the first period, in the 16th century, their base was the Klis fort near Split. They were called "Kliški uskoci" From Klis they undertook attacks on the areas occupied by the Turks. The Turks undertook several massive attacks on Klis during this period, until they conquered it. The remaining Uskoks moved to the town of Senj, so they were further called "Senj Uskoks". From Senj they undertook land and naval campaigns against the Turks and Venetians who were trading with the Turks at the time. The Uskok fortress Nehaj still stands above Senj. The Venetians and Austrians fraudulently captured Senj, part of the Uskoks were killed, and the rest were moved inland to the Žumberak mountain, so they are further called the Žumberak Uskoks.

They added a zero there...Diocleatian abdicated in 305AD and died at the end of 312 i.e. just before 313. So idk how and why but the narrator turned 300s into 3000s.
