Stopped By Security AGAIN! (kinda clickbait)

About six months ago we were stopped by security for Abbie's backpack when we went to a hockey game. They gave us a hard time about it. We told them it was similar to a diaper bag. Her pullups, wipes, communication device, etc. We ended up having to speak to a supervisor. After seeing that video the security company contacted us and hooked us up with tickets plus they want us to help with training for their personnel. I was stopped by security for filming and she was actually great when I explained the law to her. Security handled everything very well this time and even took the time to talk with me. Well done S.A.F.E. Yes, it's kind of clickbait...but isn't the thumbnail great!?

Awesome how security is trying to learn about these things and trying to better their service! In Vancouver at Rogers Arena (Where the Vancouver Canucks play) they are very patient with everybody especially with special needs children of all differences. Glad you guys had fun!

Our local little league just contacted the school my boys go to and asked for training for all their coaches and refs- I love that companies and organization are starting to recognize the need for training and actually doing something about it.

Besides people with autism having special needs, diabetics like me also have needs too. Sooner or later, there will be a Libre: Freestyle glucose checking device. it is hooked into the skin, and the scanner is only removed to scan the sensor for the glucose levels. Security at airport, might be wary of the device, but it is worth letting them know the devices' purpose and that it is permanent.

I figure the Free style probably won't be anything to worry because airline security would have to know about diabetes. In my opinion, I don't think it would be anything to worry about.

I have some chronic pain issues and definitely feel more off with the weather and I don't have arthritis. I didn't connect the dots until a chronic pain friend told me of her weather woes and started tracking weather along with my worse days. I am sure someone can explain it but just saying, it is real. Not saying Abbie has that issue but just that ppl are definitely effected, not just birds. And I love a gloomy rainy day otherwise so it's not just that. Just something to consider.

Security can be difficult to deal with in some situations I'm glad you addressed it to the security company the only thing is if you go to another event and what if it's a different security company . I would have really liked to have seen you add music to those dance moves at the end but of course copyright restrictions do not allow us to do that.

I feel the world isn’t disability friendly due to the lack of awareness in general. I am adult with special needs and work part time. I feel that I constantly have to educate the workplace on dealing with my special needs. I hope Abby never has problems as an adult and working in a job in the future.
