Finasteride has a build up so usually it takes 3-5 months before any loss starts for real. So you really should compare. Same length after 6 months. Also due to hair cycles your second hair transplant in the crown still most likely gives results 1.5 years after. So the best comparison would have been if you started this about 2y after your second hair transplant and then had a paus for 6 months to measure against

But if they take follicles from a donor area and the right one the new follicles will not be sensitive for DHT? It dosent matter where you put them. So the transplanted will stay.

Dude, why screw around with an expensive and successful hair Transplant? To protect your native hairs, you have to stay on Finasteride or Dutasteride for the rest of your life. Applying Minoxidil daily will increase hair growth as well.

You’ll see after 7-8 months , and it’ll be irreversible at that point. If you have not enough donor area anymore, think twice about stopping fina .

3 months is too short period for any changes to happen. You need 3 months only for finasteride to disappear from your body, because finasteride half-life period in body tissues (scalp) is circa 30 days

Thank you for the very good videos about your hair transplant. Unfortunately, I fear the following: The positive effect of finasteride can be noticed very quickly - the hair becomes much thicker after a few weeks. After stopping finasteride, however, it takes longer for the hair to first become thinner and then fall out. This applies to your "old" hair, the transplanted hair remains or loses its thickness only after many years. Unfortunately, the hair that falls out cannot be brought back, except perhaps the hair from the day before - when you start taking finasteride again. Of course, it would be nice if you could stop taking it without any consequences, but unfortunately that is not possible.

It will take years to lose transplanted hair without fin. But his results look okay because fin builds up on your system for 3 to 5 months so you need 6 months without it and you will start losing native hairs. Also his second transplant is still growing thick so he will not see any decrease for a while but DHT will eat at the transplanted hairs years from now and FIn will stop this. It's like taking vitamins for life or brushing your teeth. If fin, gives you side effects reduce amount and talk with doctor. But it has positive health benefits as well. Many people say Saw Palmetto reduced libido and reduces penis size, when I first started taking high dosages of saw palmetto it did reduce my libido and when I got erect it was 4 in smaller and ejaculated faster but after 4 months, the effects went away and now I'm back to normal and that was 8 years ago. I'm soon about to get on fin as well, my point is, herbs and supplements have side effects sometimes, adjust accordingly. Or go bald.

Hard to measure the results with of a ht with variables. Finasteride likely boosted your results initially and without it it still looks fine but that could be more new hairs from transplant that are emerging and those new hairs are dht resistant anyways and finasteride wouldn’t help much. Looks good though 👍🏼

I started receding from the front, not the crown. When I began taking fin I was a norwood 3 (missing between 20-30% of my hair), it's 1 year later and I am back to norwood 1 (missing about 10%). I don't have to fidget with my hair throughout the day anymore to try and cover bald spots, I can swim in the water now and my scalp doesn't show, my results are truly amazing. I recommend everyone should atleast try it. My only regret is not starting sooner.

I would take a trip to Istanbul. You will find a handful of Turks each day with full hairlines and completely bald heads because they have a poor cultural understanding of Finasteride over there and get hair transplants without it, apparently terrified of extremely rare side effects. If you're fine with being effectively bald after two hair transplants and no way to correct it, by all means continue the experiment they've all completed.

There is enough and more properly researched peer reviewed literature support that finasteride helps in hair preservation post transplant. So what are you trying to prove by stopping it and that too trying to know results in 3 months? Have you read enough research paper to conduct such an experiment on a successful transplant done by some very committed doctor. If I were your doctor I would have refused to treat you any further for not following instructions
