hey JH, look into grain sense analysers. they are a handheld tool to measure moisture and are quite handy as you don’t need to spend all day driving back and forth. love the vids mate keep it up👍

Awesome video once again JH but I would have the priority job first thing in the morning was to change that Gas bottle first up. We know we have to keep Rhiannon and the girls happy😅😅

Totally agree, nothing worse than waiting around for the moisture to drop, very frustrating but YES its apart of harvest. !!!

Driving 12.6 km to do a moisture test? Could you get a power bank and keep the moisture tester with you in the field? That way you're not driving 25.2 km roundtrip just the do the test. Just a thought. Love the content. I would also love to see what they are doing inside the combines and the struggles they have sometimes.

Hey JH have you ever looked into a mother bin if not would maybe consider one. Might be easier and save all the moving of augers and field bins
@tomsbrookfarm Жыл бұрын
So the reason we don’t have a mother bin is that on a normal year and to an extent this year we get such a variation of moisture throughout the day, so with field bins I can put different moisture in different bins and then can blend it out to make sure it gets delivered. The problem with a mother bin is you can’t give a bit of wet grain and a bit of dry, it’s just what ever you put in is what’s coming out. Works great for dry grain and outloading!! But for my operation it just doesn’t have a fit.
