Wait until Chris either sells or wears that black woollen Colonel Klink coat hanging on a wire hanger in the shed!

I must do something about that coat Grant! It's a RAAF one actually!

Great Scott, McFly! I think we just went back in time? I'm pretty sure 10 years ago you did this same unboxing, albiet without recording it. "I'll keep this for one day.. .and this… and this.” We just did it again! I look forward to the next same unboxing in 10 years time. And did I hear you say, “I haven’t used this valve sealant in 30 years, so I think I’ll keep it here just in case.” I love it. I wish you were my neighbor, you would have anything I would need to borrow. Keep going Chris!
@TheUltimateRecycler9 ай бұрын
Haha, and I would happily lend it to you Shane! 👍😊 In my defence, the sealant was used a lot when I used to work on small engines regularly - and I do plan on getting back into that when my workshop is more - shall we say - spacious! 🤣

I still have a bottle of aviation form-a-gasket number 3 at home and it's still good too. Very handy. Now to find a piece of cake... Cheers Chris 😀

Thanks Dave. Cake and coffee delivered to the shed! And everlasting gasket sealant! What more could a man want?! 😀🤣

Not too bad. Always nice to get a few wrenches and punches out of a box.

For sure mate - and nice to add another Sidchrome spanner to my collection! 👍😊

Another box down, and more good tools. I could do with some of those punches, very handy. You still hit the magic $100. 👍

Its amazing the prices you put on these items. If you get these prices more power to you. Here in the States we could not get anywhere near those prices. Very interesting, have a good day
@TheUltimateRecycler9 ай бұрын
Thanks Jeff! Yes I do sell at these prices - usually fairly easily. But remember, I have a shop in a tourist area and we are talking Aussie dollars, not USD

can we have a look in shop so and look at stock so we can see what’s has and hasn’t been sold over journey of this shed
@TheUltimateRecycler9 ай бұрын
I've done a few shop walk-arounds Shane, but the stock changes so quickly that I don't always remember where it has come from! I might do a "shed corner" video and see what we can recognise from these unboxings.. Anything that's been in stock for awhile should be discounted really..

I've got a half bottle of that gasket goo I purchase in the late 80s, it doesn't seem to go off. I watch few videos by sreetips, him and his wife go around buying GF jewellery and silver. It's surprising how much money he makes from it. Cheers Graham.

Yes, I have watched some of Sreetips' videos - he has an interesting channel! Thanks Graham 👍😊

I had to laugh at the ice cream container @2:41 with "sausages & minced meat" written on the side. I don't really know why that amused me. I'm weird. I was so hoping there would be some old slides in the Kodak box. 😞
@TheUltimateRecycler9 ай бұрын
We are all weird in our own way Dee! 😜🤣 I'm just glad the mince wasn't still there! 😲 Those old slide containers were used for many things after their life holding slides! It would have been interesting though!

What has been your best ever small find?
@TheUltimateRecycler9 ай бұрын
I've had a few good finds over the years Martin! Probably the best was a 1920s Melbourne cordial bottle in a box lot at a garage sale for $10. I sent it to a specialist bottle auction and it made $10k 😃

Well, it's a shame there wasn't more value in the jewellery Chris, but shouldn't be a surprise I suppose, it's one thing people aren't likely to throw away knowingly ! Those project boxes are a good find, but obviously not in the total as you're keeping them. I trust your judgment but was surprised that you scrapped out the Bakelite junction box, I would have thought the same restorers might wanted that as the plugs !
@TheUltimateRecycler9 ай бұрын
Thanks Andy - you would be amazed at how often we find gold jewellery in a shed! Usually broken - but the value is of course, in the gold! As for the junction box - I did think of that, but figured there are limited uses for a vintage junction as compared to a plug. But yeah, I certainly could have tried it in the shop for $5. Next time 👍😊
