Yes! I really believe custom are better. They were $500 here, and a huge expense for me, but they are life changing! Walking is easier, work is easier and they even made a difference in my knees. Quality Vs quantity.

I used to suffer from plantar fasciitis and went to numerous doctors who just wanted to do surgery on me. I was in a lot of pain one night and went to an urgent care and that PA there tell me to go to Walgreens and get the Walgreens brand insoles for plantar fasciitis. I did it she said it's been almost 2 years and I've never had pain since! sometimes what works for one doesn't work for another but in my case this did the trick!! Love your informative videos thank you for your time that you devote to your followers.

doctors are incentivized to suggest more expensive stuff , but plantar fascitis has many causes which should be the basis for treatment. most common causes for it is the weight of the person, if the plantar fascia can't handle providing support to the weight, youll overstretch it and cause pain. another cause is activity or overwork/overuse, relieving it by the obvious- reduction of the work, adding rest to let it recover. and another is your footwear, basically shoes that have arch support, proper cushioning and repositioning the foot in an arched position that doesn't allow much "give" so that the fascia doesn't get overstretched, this however again doesn't prevent other problems from following, EX knee pain musclular and postural problems. kyphosis, lordosis, scoliosis, arthritis (osteo).

I recently watched a video of a guy who used an over the counter insole. He customized it to his own feet by making a silicon mold in which he added it to the insole. It formed to his own foot and filled in the difference. It ended costing the price of the insole plus roughly 10 dollars for supplies.

Complaint 1: why don’t ANY running/cross training/sneaker style shoes have even minimal arch support? Just a little bit, even? Complaint 2: why are nearly all running/cross training sneaker style shoes made from so much soft mesh fabric that offers NO upper foot support…causing a LOT more pronation to occur? This crap makes me crazy….particularly because the Columbia Birki shoe I’ve been wearing for 8 years have been discontinued. I have bought and returned so many shoes in the past 6 months I could cry….

Before inserts, starting about 45 years old, in the mornings I woke up rolled out of bed and walked like a crab until I “loosened up” 🦀 😂 With inserts I don’t have that issue anymore… plus I can touch my toes much easier without a nagging uncomfortable tightness and my sciatica isn’t a daily pain/pinch down my entire back and leg! I used to even have pain, that I thought was a link to my larger phone, in my thumbs but that’s gone to and it hasn’t returned either… Weird but true! I have a scoliosis s curve (since middle school), extra high arches plus a couple car accidents… I bought supports that go around my feet for when I am barefoot, sticky arch gel insoles for all my tennis shoes, and memory foam orthopedic inserts in all of my sneakers!! I will not walk without any type of support for my ankles ever again if I can help it 💯

Glad to say all my pain has gone in my feet/knees and hips after using perdepo insoles which cost me £30 I just wish I had found these before forking out over £400 on customs with visits etc 🤦🏻♂️oh and if anyone is reading this and has flat feet, when you buy arch support insoles you will instantly think they are so uncomfortable pushing into your arches but trust me you need to push through it as when you buy customs they feel shocking for weeks which eventually your foot becomes used to and you no longer notice any insoles which have the arches in. Flat footers will no what I’m talking about when it comes to insoles 😆🤦🏻♂️

Hi from an anatomical perspective the muscles around the foot are not designed to support the foot arch. A foot that is pronating to the point there are symptoms in the foot ankle knee hip and back, a bespoke orthoses may seem expensive but in the long term worth the pain relief Would you buy off the shelf glasses if still getting headaches from poor prescription glasses? Bottom line yes some feet are ok with off the shelf but patients I see definitely need bespoke foot orthoses (uk based)

Only one insole I found for 4E feet is the work area industrial insole. Most of these insoles have a narrow heel area so the arch support will dig into the heel and back arch area of a wide heeled foot. Also alot of people I know that complain about their feet dont realize they have a wide foot. Lol I told a girl to get a wide or men size but she chose foot pain just because she didnt want the shoes that say men. Lol Lasy but not least is to walk barefoot as much as possible.

I’ve used Powersteps and they worked well, but my arches are so high that I had to go to custom arch supports.

I love all of your videos, yes I am a Toe Bro junkie. But this inner sole video is very informative. I do have a question though. Can you recommend an inner sole for diabetic feet? I have real bad neuropathy. What can I put in my shoe? Thank you Jonathan......
